"G R E A T" Idea for next contest

Seems to be a lot of car-washing-sessions related topics on the AGO forum lately...

What's the best car wash shampoo; will this or that shampoo strip wax/sealants; the best wash mitts/brushes (be it: sheepskin/wool, rabbit hair, horsehair, camelhair, hogs-hair, the "Schmitt") ; best method (two-buckets, grit guards); etc.

So for today's limerick-ing session, I'd like to submit a: Two-for-the-price-of-one.

Shampoos:

What are the best car washing shampoos?
From your recommendations list, I may choose.
I won't say that some may be duds
Though I prefer ones that create suds..
I just love bubbles refracting such wonderful hues.

Wash Mitts (From a buddy of mine...I don't know where he got it from):

A bear taking a dump asked a rabbit:
"Does sh!t stick to your fur as a habit?"
"Of course not, said the hare,
It's really quite rare!"
So the bear wiped his a$$ with the rabbit.

:D

revisited this post

AGO is more than a place to be,

for some it is about camaraderie.

There are those seeking advice

and many here are paying the price.

Guidance and experience for free !

The clock on the wall says that's all. I'll be 10-10 checking the mail. 04-rodger.

I have been truly impressed over this long holiday weekend with all the guidance being offered here at AGO.

Much poetic license here...

There was a gal using a chamois
on a car belonging to her mamois.
and when she was done,
in the car she did run -
and now she's washing cars in Miamios

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

36 straight hours "correcting" an RV, what the hell?

Yes we five stepped it, if I was a seal I may have rung the bell.

Instead we stuck our chests out and worked through the pain,

During my longest detail session I started to go insane.

But the end result was a 100 percent satisfied client with MANY Mr. Franklins out he shelled.

I hope that in my quest for humor, that I did not step on the toes of someone's local hero.

No need to worry about me, VT, my Blue Suedes are clean as a whistle!

BTW...I used to see either this guy, or one of his shills, at the Good Guys in Columbus, OH for a couple of years, schmucking around.

Hi Anthony...

I know you must be wore-out; But...
May I ask if 6 hours, or so, was spent on detailing the interior?? :D

J/K around, ol' buddy. I know you always excel at each and every job you undertake. :props:

You get a little rest now, you hear.

Do you ever have that feeling that a date did not go so well? I am too overly nice, too giving, too everything for girls and I overwhelm them and ultimately they get bored or just decide I like them entirely more then they like me. Same situation happened to me last night, wish I would not have spent the money already to have flowers sent to her office today. I cannot help it, its the way I am and as much as I try to change and be tougher and try to "play the game" and just relax, I cannot. I come off desperate and girls then become less attracted to me.

Excited I was last night for a wonderful date
In great hopes to meet my lasting mate
To the restaurant we went, excited as could be
Stayed for hours, didn't "make like a tree"
Might need to find a different girl, now wheres that bait?

Do you think that Jay Z and Beyonce hit it off after one encounter?

Or that for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill that It was love at first sight?

Here's a rhyme that is not mine.

Ed and Agnes had much ability
But were low on compatability
Their marriage, of course
Ended in divorce
Which they regretted until their senility.

Gonna be heading out for the day in a few. Have a great day.

-I, too, feel that I've been overly nice to every Lady I've ever met...That just who, and how I am. And, looking back, I loved every minute of it. You probably will also.
-Many times, though, it backfired in my face...
But, I never felt compelled to "put 'em in their place", so to speak.
-Eventually, I met a Lady that is way much nicer than I'll ever be...She lovingly accepts me as I am, and appreciates being: Up on the Pedastal. Maybe it's because She does likewise for me.

Please remember, Tundra_10.....

There's a 'special-someone' for you, a true Lady, for sure!
But always be: "True to thyself", from that never be demure.
An idea: With Spring being in the air, when all thoughts turn to Love;
Take a Date on a pic-nic...Splendor in the Grass 'tis like Heaven above.
If 'being nice' always end:Bonjour; Perhaps these Ads may be the cure?.

J/K...Dear Ladies

To Tundra_10...
Keep the Faith! [OOOPS, sorry Mr. McGraw]

This forum is funny, its primary function above all is to sell and promote detailing products. This fact cannot be disputed or hidden, yes there is lots of advice and tips, and all sorts of stuff but getting down to the nuts and bolts its here to generate money and I am sure it does wonderfully at that.

I think somewhat inadvertently it is much more then just a sales diversion, its a home, a solitude, a feeling of belonging and a feeling of comradery between individuals. There is such an eclectic group of individuals here, from young adults to the more mature. There are people who scrape all their money together and have to pick and choose their purchases wisely to those who can show-boat and show off their weekly $1000 orders to go along with their hyper/super cars.

We all laugh and joke, we are all there for one another when someone needs a boast in moral or spirit. We are even there for each others loved ones and those close to them, sending praise and prayers to them in hopes that the tough and rough times get better.

This is probably one of the most enjoyable forums I have ever been a part of, I am currently active on 5 different forums, however I am only continually on one... AGO.

I stay on this site a lot, call me a geek
You all are my friends, you will never try to gleek
As long as you all are here, I will be too
To be part of everything, a nice "friend stew"
As for becoming a future detailer, my future is quiet bleak

What an excellent posting...Tundra_10!! :wow:

This is just one example of your being very insightful, expressed with the most kindly of words.

On my behalf I must say:
Thanks for doing so much for this forum's sake...It is appreciated.

With this said, what's your opinion on the Solution Finish Black Plastic & Vinyl Restorer?
I've got two days to make a decision on whether to pull the trigger and save $35, or to order non-detail item that I want to check out. Your opinions are valued. Thanks.

ps: after binging those products above - I wonder how some of our products induce laughter around the globe? Just a thought.

VT...How far back are you pulling the trigger for the Solution Finish? [PS...I need about 1oz. of it to finish my application/review.]
:D

ps: after binging those products above - I wonder how some of our products induce laughter around the globe? Just a thought.

If I may, I'd like to interject a few thoughts on ^^^this^^^ subject...
These thoughts are being based solely on from how I see it:
Many of the USA International Firms' viewpoints of other cultures, and how to implement the correct marketing strategies for these (our) products.

Cosmopolitanism... The extent to which countries, and its cultures, are connected to other cultures.
Modernity... The extent to which these countries' cultures value what we call “progress".
Cultural Differences...

-Different factors influence how new ideas/innovations (RE: our products, perhaps) are perceived at a societal level in other countries. It is imperative for the USA Firms, in order to be successful in other countries, to recognize and implement the necessary procedures to sell their products.

Some of these factors may be:
a.) In the USA, “new and improved”...is considered highly attractive. In more traditional countries, they may be met with skepticism. {U.S. consumers appear to adopt new products more readily.}
b.) New ideas/products...are usually more accepted on a broader scale where there are more women in a country's work force. Not only do these women have some economic power, they are able to see other people, on a daily basis, that use diverse products, and discuss them. [Men usually don't interact at the workplace in this manner]
c.) Homiphily/homogenous...The extent to which consumers are relatively similar to each other...Versus: Individualism/heterogeneous
d.) Physical distances...Consumers that are more spread-out over a region are less able to interact with others users of products. consumers

Cultural differences...
a.) Individualism vs. collectivism: Personal gains vs. groups' benefits.
b.) A person's or groups' ranks/positions in a society.
c.) Incomes: Different for regions within a country
d.) Masculinity vs. femininity: Competition/Conquering vs. Nurturing/Protection/Environment...[But recognizing there are differences within these groupings.]
e.) Avoiding uncertainty: Structured vs. ambiguous...Risk tolerance...Clear, easy to understand, rules.
f.) Profitability: Short-term/Long-term...Quick results vs. Extended periods
f.) Branding: A world-wide, or well-known name. People around the world have more "trust" in Companies that have become diverse in "owning" many products. 3M for example. And Mitsubishi, Ford, GM.
g.) Technology: Internet accessibility; expansion of industries in other parts of the world.

Of course, there are many, many other factors I haven't touched upon...

I suppose it boils down to how others around the world have been, or will be having, our products marketed to them by the International Firms, that will influence their way of "looking at us".

:)

The IRS says I've got some money coming, hope it's no joke.
I've got a few things in mind, that'd make me a happy bloke.
A couple of detailing products? Maybe...Or so I've been told.
She said: "Please be a 'Dear', and, it doesn't have to be of gold".
"Why, I'll gladly settle for: 'a little something', as long as it's baroque".

One needn't be Wolfgang Puck to be a chef. Many here are top rate detailers with or without customers. One thing I am not looking forward to, being from a dry region, is the hot humid days that I have been foretold of here in this area.

Bob: No problem-Got back in and called AG to place my order, but it was after 6.
I waited out the FogFight -to my advantage. Not going to let this one slip by.

Remembering when you learned to buff,
That shiny new Tundra, 'fore she gets rough.
The interior, now impeccable.
The fortune spent. "Not regrettable!"
Persue your dreams, when the going's tough.

B&BTennessee: Debenture- Unsecured debt backed only buy the borrower's integrity Used below metaphorically.

Challenges faced by each new venture;
Your finished product? It's your debenture.
Highly pleased customers - they're referring.
Efficient team leads to profits assuring;
Price it right. Dial it in. It's a clincher!

Good luck and God bless. Happy detailing...:buffing:

Bob

Nothing make me happier, than to make the little lady smile. If it wasn't for the better half, I'd be in a world of hurt.
Anyways, it's past my bedtime and I've got a rhyme - will probably not be lurking around for a few days.

There once was a detailer named Max,
who swallowed some samples of wax.
All shades of the spectrum
flowed out of his rectum;
Now Max has no need for Ex-lax.

Much poetic license taken - goodnight to all.

There was a mobile detailer named Brent,
After a 3-step exterior he went...
To steam the interior...
The results were superior.
At the end of the day felt overspent.
