So I'm posting a review of a product AG doesn't carry, mostly in a hope that they will start.

L1 from G|Techniq (Leather Guard) (C4 is a permanent trim restorer)

Used L1 on my father car, as its the one with the Leather seats. Its a new car, bought in early summer this year. The seats are dark leather, and fairly clean. I applied L1 with a MF applicator pad, as I didn't have any foam ones. I used the same technique as I did for C4.

The seats darkened and looked more rich and deep. Didn't use a whole lot of product to do the whole car either. After I was done, I went out to dinner. I took another look when I got home...hmm missed a bit. It was good in a sense that I did miss a bit (on the back of the armrest) because I could see the difference.

L1 doesn't smell like much of anything to me, which is good because I hate overpowering smelling products.

Would I buy this product again? In a heartbeat! I'd probably go for the 1L size next time :props:

With LeatherMaster products recently being brought to AG not sure how many more products will fit, but sure sounds like an interesting line.

Isn't the main claim to fame for that product its water proofing ability? I remember poking about their site and seeing pics or a video about its capability. I'm delighted to hear from someone who has used it. If it is great at water proofing, I want to use it on the leather seats of my new Lincoln. They are cooled seats with perforated leather that the air comes out of. Would this product plug the holes or diminish the cooling ability in any way? That would be a deal breaker if it did. Have you poured a bit of water on the seats to see how it does? I also read on DW where they say they are re-formulating it as there have been complaints of its appearance being too shiny. (Not the true appearance of factory leather) Did you find this? (I'm assuming you have the original version). Thanks for your info about this product. It would be awesome if AG carried this line, I agree. I remember years ago before they carried Menzerna, I was pushing them to do so. They need a push for this line too I believe. Their compounds sound very, very interesting. I'd love to try one. thanks.

No, I think the water proofing ability refers to the I1 SmartFabric Coat, which can be used on convertible tops. I don't think the product would plug the holes in your seat. They are reformulating it for lower shine, but I don't have shine issues, it goes on with more shine, but after 5min the shine is gone. To my eyes, it makes the leather in the '10 Malibu look more like high end leather.

Killerwheels : Leather Guard is only one product in the G|Techniq line.

I thought I would bump this given the interest in leather today. Richy, it didnt affect the cooling seats on the Ford. The new version looks like UIG, i.e., not too shiney.
