joe would definitely would be a good testbed and would give the tools a good workout for sure.
Yes, he should be. not just because of experience and being one that could put them through paces, but also because he is (at least that's my perception) honest straight forward shooter that says things as he sees them so I feel he is unlikely to post anything biased.
also, it will be interesting to see/hear more about KB's area 805 top secret testing.
You mean this thread
Area 805 top secret testing begins! - Page 4 - Car Care Forums: Meguiar's Online ?
As of now I don't see anything in that thread that provides more info than what is already known from marketing materials. Also I don't see Griot's V2 being part of it.
Actually there is one line in that post that raises an alert in me. It says:
"
... feedback circuit ... is responsible for delivering improved random rotation. This is especially true when the machine is put under an increased load due to panel shape, increased friction, ...".
Why it raises it? Because feedback circuitry does not have intelligence of human. In other words, "old PC" bogging down in certain situations was sometimes a life saver for me, an unintentional "safety feature" if you will, thus I like it, and in such situations I don't want something that applies gas, I might end up with damage where it might have been avoided (call me clumsy but I am just a human, humans make mistakes, me first, so I like something that sometimes saves me from myself).
Of course my concern might be completely unfounded due to no hands on experience with it, especially not long term one, only long time use in the field by many owners can tell whether there is any con to it.
