Haha good point :xyxthumbs: Let me just put up a ladder and...:laughing:This is the correct way to do it.
I was doing Energy/Lighting upgrades for 2 years and this setup worked the best for lighting output.
You can get LED's that put out more light but they cost $600 to $800 each for a 24x24.
Look at gas station canopy's some of them have LED's, very bright.
I'm a huge lighting buff. LEDs all over all of my vehicles, outside the house, etc etc. I really, really wanted to get LED ones. But nobody had any worth while, and I not for $600! Good info
I like the Philips bulbs. I almost got Sylvania ones from Lowes, but opted for the Philips T8 from home depot. FWIW Lowes doesn't sell Philips. What about florescent bulbs they stay cool I thought?
So I guess the home depot bulbs suck
Like Ed said, you can make them hardwired. I bought plug in ones and hardwired them in. For one set I just cut off the plug, opened up the light fixture and tracked which one was which, then wired them up. For the other set I needed a longer run so I opened up the light fixture, undid their power lines, and added my own. Works like a charm!Do the fixtures you mentioned need to be hard wired or are they plug ins? Trying to resolve this same situation in my garage
