I think I will mount them directly to the wall with lag bolts and washers. I ordered 2 of the 3o" wall cabinets earlier tonight.
 
Jim- I saw Sears is running a sale on a few of the Gladiator cabinets. Not sure I the ones you bought are part of he mark down but some are a good price compared to other places I looked.


Ed- thanks for posting about the flaw. Now I can be prepared when I get ready to mount them.

Are either of you doing a full wall of tracks or just individual tracks themselves? I haven't decided if I'd like to do one full wall so I can have different hooks and shelves

I don't run the full, whole wall track. I don't have enough stuff to hang up there and it was a bit pricey to justify the install and to not use 80% of it.

I see what you mean. It is pricy. I was thinking of doing the small wall by my door. Maybe I'll just do above my work bench and a few on the side by the cabinets

I ordered 2 8 ft tracks. I got 6 4 ft tracks on BOGO at Lowes.. Ive ordered an assortment of hooks and such.
 
The rest of the floor standing cabinets arrive tomorrow. .
