I'm puzzled by your dilution ratio. Is that from your own experimentation?

The label suggests 0.5 ounce to 21.5 oz of water. I've been using it at that dilution for a QD and waterless wash.

I think he was probably one key off and meant to type 1/2 instead of 1.2.

Where was the comment that called Larry a hack? I saw that thread and did not see that comment. People said his products are super expensive which they are.

People get flamed when promoting products without any type of proof.

For example, no one here is doubting that IUDJ may be a good product. But we know that UWW+ pretty much does the same thing for a better price.

I was paraphrasing - I don't think the exact word was hack. But it was "suggested" he was only marketing his products and had no knowledge or input on the production side which is completely false. He absolutely was in the lab testing which chemicals worked and which ones didn't.

And I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I've def seen GD's, Larry's and other new/different products get flamed for a variety of reasons and most of the time it's by people who haven't even used them. Guess it's just an AG thing. Whatever, every board has it's own personality. This is just one of the quirks on this board.
 
Mach, have you been able to get Ammo products in bulk? I have a hard time justifying those prices for a business. If it was just for my car, fine I will pay twice the price of other products to get the best... but for a business, it's not a good idea. Now if I could get it in bulk and get a discount, that would be a different story.
 
In regards to AMMO products...I am now using his paint regime products exclusively to maintain the paint on my own car. I'd gladly pay twice the price he is charging...his products are that good.

I'm sure if more guys here tried his paint regime lineup they'd be demanding AG take on the line.

I haven't gotten any prices for bulk. And you bring up an excellent point. If you are a niche detailer (with hiche prices) then Ammo makes a lot of sense. I you are a bulk detailer you'd probably want a different product. That doesn't mean his products aren't good or don't work- clearly they do!

Look, I'm a realist. I am a pro detailer- bang for the buck does absolutely make a difference.

My biggest issue is some of us are tearing down 2 phenomenal detailers many of us would kill to duplicate. What's up with all the hate? Is it jealousy/envy because they didn't follow the "cookie cutter" path to success? I say we should applaud GD and Larry. They have achieved what many of us have only dream of. Don't hate- appreciate!!

Garry used to post a lot here...so why doesn't he any more? Because they wouldn't sell his cord control clip, and they wouldn't let him huckster it here on the forum. I think if there's any butthurt, it's on his end.

I'm glad then that the truth came out. I really like his videos and it seems like he deserves all the success going his way.

You said a "variety of reasons," so I'm assuming you've seen quite a few posts where the flaming happened. I'd be interested in seeing that.

I have a very hard time using the search button. I tried searching for it but could not find it. I'm guessing because I do all my AGO using the phone app. Also another reason why I always start a thread, because I could never find anything using the search bar. Until I start the thread and other helpful send me links.

You flamed him, not his products ;)

I have yet to see a post that says a GD product is bad or a AMMO product is bad by someone who hasn't used it.

People say that there are cheaper alternatives so they won't buy the high priced GD or AMMO products, but that's not flaming, that's reality.
 
Everyone has there favorite. I like GD. For one it's not that much more expensive then the UWW+. I also like helping out the underdog and the small business owner. I don't mind paying a few extra bucks knowing the money is going into a small american business. So we can spend our time arguing away over which one is better until one comes along that is better. Until then my money is going to Garry's USA based small business. Besides free shipping to the lower 48 states for his products when I bought mine. 6.4 gallons is going to last me a long time even if I do a rinse less here and there.
 
inDetail this is a very good and excellent written statement. That's why I helped out Junkman, when I run out of my Pinnacle WW. Gary will also be getting my support.

Plus it does have a really catchy name. :D
 
I read the forums a lot, I've never seen anyone say anything bad about Larry from ammo other than he has fast arms speed when polishing sometimes. Lol GD used to be here, not anymore. I just wish Corey would come back I know it's hard, I miss CEE and his contributions here most!

And btw Ammo skin rocks. But UWW all the way, pertaining to this thread.
 
Well I enjoy both of Larry's and Gary's videos. I just might give Juice a try when I run out of Optimum rinceless. Since I do normal washes, that might take a while though.

I have been seeing a bunch of pictures of cars finished with Opti-Coat latelly and they look fabulous. That is an other thing I need to try.
