G'day guys, first time poster here. I've been reading the forums for a little while, gaining a heap of information and learning techniques from all of you guys. Mike's youtube videos have been especially helpful to me. I'm just starting out detailing cars on the side for friends and family, and just recently bought a Concours 900 Polisher, and machine polished my first car - a silver Hyundai ix35 (I think it's a Tuscon in America?). I've got a few friends interested in me doing their cars - a Veloster Turbo, Evo X MR and a BMW 1M Coupe.

Here's a link to the Hyundai ix35 that I did - ImageShack Album - 22 images. The paint was already in pretty good condition, so I basically polished it, then sealed it with the Wolfgang DGPS 3.0, then a coat of the Pinnacle Signature 2.

If you're interested, I've got a few pics of some of the other cars I've owned here - ImageShack Album - 58 images.

Thanks for looking and I look forward to talking with all of you guys much more in the future as I get more into detailing.

Cheers,

Brett.

Thank you all for the welcome!

Neither really, mate. Always been a bit of a Mitsubishi man, although my first car was a Ford Telstar back in the late 90's. We now own a Mitsubishi 380 and a VW Polo GTi.

:welcome:

Also from Australia & also a Brett (you must be a great bloke too with a name like that!)

Where abouts in Oz are you?
Enjoy the forums...

QLD mate, just north of Brisbane.

You either work for Mitsubishi or really like their products, can't blame you there, love that EVO! The Colt is very cool as well, too bad we don't get that little pocket rocket.

Hi Brett,

Welcome to Autogeek Online,

Here's one of your pictures, I right clicked on the picture and then posted the URL Address into the image tags so the picture simply shows up instead of having to click away and look at a gallery somewhere...

I write a lot of articles on how to detail cars but I also write articles on how to work with pictures on the forum, here's one of them, if you plan on being in the "online car detailing world" for a long time, might as well teach yourself how to work with pictures on the forum.

Just a friendly tip, welcome aboard...

If you're going to be a "Forum Person" on ANY forum, help yourself by learning how to work with picture on the Internet

Cheers for that, Mike. I was going to post a few pics on the first page, but didn't want to clutter my first post with a bunch of images. :xyxthumbs:

I'll be sure to post a few from now on!

I'm getting my first black car on Monday. It belongs to my missus' Mum. A 2007 Suzuki Swift. Heaps of swirl marks I'm led to believe... Can't wait!

Clutter away... pictures inserted trump all other options... plus people like to see pictures. :Picture:

Just remember,

Black isn't a color it's a full time job!

Looking forward to your restoration write-up...

Cheers guys.

If I get enough time, and it doesn't bloody rain, I will do a series of correction photos on the Swift. It'll be my first real correction job, so I'm quite excited actually!
