Based upon the picture above, technically, you're impeding the flow of traffic.
Yes, to some extent, although many people do park along here and it is a legal parking area. Even more so when I'm sitting on the road side on my bucket detailing the wheels. I do try to give everyone a freindly wave as they give me space as they drive by and will stand up and pull any gear in close if needed. The road only leads to the complex, one house on the left side, and turns into a dirt drive way directly after the apartments. I believe there is another entrance off the main road on the other side of the complex. And also picked up a headlight job from the nice man that lives back the dirt road.
Just playing devils advocate here, but I wouldn't be too happy about this happening on the street in front of my house...although it doesn't appear to be infront of a house. So, say you live in one of the homes just on the other side of the tree line there and you purchased that home because it's quiet and no neighbor on that side, then you have to listen to vacuums and buffers, while on your patio, deck, or windows open..you may not be so thrilled either. The complex should have an area specifically for car cleaning.
I agree on all levels. I try to get everything set up and organized so I can run the generator as little as possible. I won't turn it on till I'm all set up, and shut it off as soon as I no longer need it. The generator is fairly quite, but the ShopVac is louder and the Duetto has its destintive whine.
Yes, they should have a specific work area. I would be pissed if I lived there and could'nt touch my car in the lot and then the property manager harasses the the detailer hired to the work in a "public space". Or have to drive 20 minutes down the road to drop it off at a shop to have the work done.
I agree. The police have guns, handcuffs and alternate living quarters complete with roommates.
Lol. Yeah I try to respect the men in blue, they are just doing their job, and I have no intention of finding out what their sleeping arrangements are like. I spent one night in MP lockup when I was in the military for drunk and disorderly on Thanksgiving Eve. Not fun. Our First Sargent was pissed he had to come in to get us out in the middle of the night/early morning. Extra Duty anyone? Me please!
I'd check with the landowner first, not the tenant, regarding car servicing on their property. If the owner says it's OK, get it in writing.
Next time I'm down there I want to offer the apartment manager free quick details for every time I work there, or one a week, or whatever he wants. This place is money and I want to get in good with him. I had five more people get my info yesterday.
It is very important to be careful when working on pubic property!!!
NEVER WORK IN A STREET!
Jesus!
Some a drunk a hole can take you out!
SAFETY FIRST!
I keep an eye out, gotta do what I gotta do. If it was a high traffic high speed street I would be a bit more leery.
Ha, Oldmodman. Not much they can do there. Some people just like to mess with others.
Some people don't understand that unless you live in a completely desolate area that you are going to have do deal with other homeowners, contractors, mantainance people making noise.
