New guy here.

Has anyone used the diamondite glass repair system or something else to get out light scratches? I used a old ice scrapers and it left some light scratchs that are only visible in certain lighting and angles. Also, would a porter cable be sufficent?

Thank you in advance.

PM Dust2Glory on that, I think he dose repair like that...

Also auto parts stores has acrylic filler you can buy for glass that will take care of that...

Thank you Sparkie.

Will do.

I scratches are very light. In most instances you can't notice them.

I used the Diamondite system on my car and am personally not impressed. I am not sure if it was because it was cold, but it had a very long working time and didn't seem to actually do much at all. I was trying to get rid of the windshield wiper streaks on the glass and it hardly did anything. I am going to try again this spring/summer and see if my results are any different.

What is this acrylic filler you are talking about?? Does it fill them invisibly?? Any idea of the product name??

The thing that gets me is that they claim that it will work with a porter cable. I find that hard to believe considering it isn't orbital. In order to buff it out there needs to be repeated buffing in that area.

The other product I've looked at is this

Eastwood Co. - Glass Polishing Kit Pro

Found one guy online who seems to like the results.

Summit Racing has a kit that should work, around 40 dollars, I'm buying it myself very shortly. it has a powder which works well with a pc or drill and a special pad.
The damn roads around here are littered with careless trucks dumping debris on all the highways around here. Coupled with the sand and construction fallout it is very bad here.

Do you have a link or part number? Their site is a mess to navigate.

Thank you.
