Fellow Autogeeks,

I'll spend the next couple of weekends getting my lady's car (Bronze metallic 2007 Malibu) and my truck (Silver '05 F-150 4X4) ready for the winter. Just waiting for my shipment of PB SSR 2.5 and Collinite 845 wax. My plan of attack will be:

Wash w/Megs GC
Clay
Wipe down w/DP 4in1 waterless car wash
PB SSR 2.5
PB PwS
NXT Paste AND
Collinite 845

OR

Wash w/Megs GC
Clay
Wipe down w/DP 4in1 waterless car wash
PB SSR 2.5
PB PwS
NXT Paste X2 or
Collinite 845 X2

How does this look? Feed back please

Skip NXT, and just apply 2 coats of Collinite 845. Never found for NXT to be durable.

I too would ditch the NXT. Really no need for it with PWS, and in fact the NXT would probably remove some of the PWS due to the cleaners in it (if I'm remembering correctly). I would just do the PWS followed by one or two coats of 845.

Harsh winter – Klasse All In One (AIO) Klasse Sealant Glaze (SG) x 2, Collinite # 845 Liquid Insulator Wax or # 476s Super Doublecoat Auto Wax x 2. If you apply a final layer of wax without buffing it will provide more protection / durability (especial for vehicle storage purposes).

not buffing it out wouldnt that be hard to remove with the insulator wax at the end of the season.

This is my Ultimate winter combo. One of my favorites.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I'll do #845 X2 as recommended!:buffing:
