We all know that the current range of polishes use aluminium oxide, glycerin, bentonite, volcanic ash etc to remove swirls and scratches from our beloved paint but what ingredient in a final polish makes it bring back the true gloss and are there any polishes or glazes available that don't remove any defects but give insane wetness and clarity without removing paint.

What do you recommend after 106FF.
I've begun using 106FF and Ultra gloss superpolish (worlds best hand polish IMO) and then either soft 99 colour evolution by hand to provide some more colour or a combo of DG 601, toughseal step 1, ultra gloss and driven to perfection all surface polish.

That last combo makes the paint incredibly slick and the wetness is great but I still want more.

Can I use CG's glazes like WMF, EZ creme glaze, butter wet wax to do that and do these glazes burn off from sunlight or wash off.

glazes add an extra layer of gloss but lack even the basic of protection. So while easily the choice for a car show, or gleeming glistening shimmer of wetness, you will need to protect it or reapply glaze often. If you have never used Souveran Paste, I highly suggest it after 106FF. WOW !

Well I'm sure that my sealants will stick to them ok. they are ceramic based.
OK I'll look into souveran.

sealants just "dont do it" quite yet .... lots are great with gloss and reflection, but science appears to be having quite the hard time reproducing wetness and depth the wax some waxes do.

I wonder how PO85RD compares to 106FF.

The PO85Rd is a finer polish..its a finishing polish..while 106Ff does a great job and leaves a great finish..the PO85RD just brings it up another level in gloss....it burnishes the paint with a finer grit and it does improve the surface smoothness and gloss a little more....sorta makes the finish a bit clearer....

So it actually does give more gloss. I might have to get some of that and give it a shot. 106FF itself amazes me. To get something more would be awesome.

They both finish with the same gloss, but 106ff has slightly more cutting ability from what I understand.

PO85rd - cut 1.5, gloss 5
PO106ff -cut 2.5, gloss 5

Item#/product/cut/gloss/what it will remove in sandpaper grit

After application 'seal' with Zaino Clear Seal (Z-CS)

85RD FP doesn't quite give the same sharpness of reflections
One of the sealers I have actually works wonders on textured trims by machine. Gives it a clearcoat finish

Waxes have their place but not on my car.
