:buffing:I'm was intrested in a new polisher. I have an eye on Griot's Garage (GG). I seen no bad reviews on it, but good from those who bought. In the vidios I see alot the Porter Cable(PP). You pros with experience, I couldn't fined compairing GG vs PP. I like to know some fead back in thows who worked with both of them.

Griots, easily ;)

You get more power

I believe people say Porter Cable is a long lasting (Bobby) machine, but Griots has their warranty if you run into problems

Welcome to Autogeek Online.

There are many threads about the Griot's 6 inch vs. the PC7424XP vs. the Meg's G110v2.

Each one is a random dual action polisher and will do the same job. Personally I have the Porter Cable and it has been going strong for two years. Does what I need it to do. You'll have many tell you to get the Flex because it doesn't vibrate as much as the random DA polishers do. It is just something you get use to. I can't see myself spending over $300 for a polisher, just not worth it if you are doing a couple cars.

Also there have been some threads about the GG being less powerful as of lately, so hopefully some people who have it can give some feedback.

I have the Porter Cable but if I could do it all over again, I'd go with the Griots for the extra power + lifetime warranty. Nothing wrong with the Porter Cable though.

From what I understand, the newer Griots no longer offer more power than the PC unfortunately.

Where exactly did you hear or understand that from? That's not at all true, I have two GG6's and the PC doesn't even compare power-wise.

A couple posters on here who got new GG polishers to replace old ones.

I have an older one and my father in law has a newer one, (GG6's) I can't tell any difference! They do have more power than the PC/XP hands down!
go with the GG6 and Be happy instead of wishing you had!:dblthumb2:

I have both a PC7242XP and a Griots. I reach for the Griots. Both are decent machines.

I have a PC and my only complaint is the vibration but it did a good job. I now have the Flex 3401 and wish I would have purchased that first but at the time didn't want to spend that much money.
