Ghetto garage for detailing, best i could do with little to no money

Well done! Huge bang for the buck improvement.

Damn, I love it! Those shelving units are just CHOICE! There is nothing ghetto about this setup, you just made it work to your budget!

Sure makes a huge improvement.
Looks good.

Looks good. I could hang out in there. Your sign is cool. Looks good with that awesome shiny red car

What I wouldn't give just to have a garage today. The weather isn't cooperating and I'm dying to try a new product before I've got a show tomorrow.
Your garage looks great.

Wow...

I am in awe... I'm glad I never attempt stuff like that, I would screw it up and be out the money.

You have a gift, seriously.

Looks real good to me , well organized and you can walk right up and find whatever you are looking for . As far as insulation goes you can buy the insulation in strips and put them in the walls and staple them in place until you are ready to run the wiring and at that point just slip the wiring behind the insulation . A wall covering I have in my paint booth is 1/8 " thick white tile board , it has a semi gloss finish and reflects light real good . On the ceiling you can get 4'x8' sheets of styrofoam and put it on the ceiling and that will help you through the winter and in summer will help with being hot in inside . Good Luck , it looks like you have a very good start .

WOW! That looks great! I agree with the others the white paint really brightens the place up! It looks well organized and clean. The trick is to no now keep it that way.;) I clean our garage out 3 years ago, painted the ceiling, walls and floors. Organized and labeled all the shelves. Today only my car will fit in the garage. :D

That garage is ghetto fabulous now! hahaha seriously though-great job man. I know sheetrock would be nice- but you could tack some sheets of "blueboard" styrofoam insulation for this winter(if you get a lil cash) I think its 7 bucks for a 4x8 sheet. By just tacking it with plastic cap nails you can easily pull it back off to run wiring/gas and later on you can even sheetrock on top of it. I know you dont have the money right now but that would be a quick/easy solution to keep a bit warmer. I did this for a practice room for my band years ago. By the way-those shelves are sweet!

dude! i love that "may we help you" sign! where did you get it? garage looks great!

Great turn around, looks amazing.
I'm going to snag that pegboard idea.

The white paint on the walls makes a big difference, and MUCH brighter too.

Looks great!

As you improve your lighting, you should look into T5 high output lighting. It's relatively inexpensive and extremely bright! But your garage looks pretty bright as it is! Love the shelving!
