Girls can detail too!

Three pages in one day!

must be an intro record lol

Welcome from SC

Welcome!

My young girls love helping me too. They love doing windows!

boy or girl, if you love detailing you're now with friends who understand :)

Welcome, my wife and I work side by side as much as we can. I'm not a pro detailer but we love to keep our 96 SVT Cobra show worthy. Laurie's great on glass and interiors. Also a very careful dryer with a waffle towel. My only complaint is she's like a kid with a hose. Likes to get me as wet as the car.

We had a photo studio together for 15 years until my bad back forced us to close. We love to work together and she is very detail oriented and loves to show guys not to mess with a woman behind the wheel of a musclecar. Glad to have you on board.

:welcome:to AGO...

It's official now, you're an AutoGeek Freak! ;)

FWIW my 24 year old daughter was by my side Tuesday helping me knock out the last of the little Mazdaspeed wagon. She had been to the doctor with *Kidney Stones*, already passed one and he found another one with ultrasound. Yet when she got home she helped me for TWO HOURS! (While her lazy arse little brother never lifted a finger!)

Whoa there.... your back stopped you from photography? Man that bites!#%$^*&#$
Mine stopped me for the last 10 years from most anything. Only recently have I started being a bit more mobile, (detailing is more like therapy than work). ;)

Welcome to the capital of car OCDers. My wife says she's gonna join me this summer. She said "I make lemonade and sandwiches and..." then I stopped her and said if your so-called gonna help, I'm teaching you how to use the PC and the Wheel Woolies.

detailing is more like therapy than work

Yes, this is true. I need surgery in both my hips and live in constant pain. Whenever I'm working on one of the cars for a little while the pain subsides. Then the wife calls me and presto, the pain is back. LOL

Welcome! I doubt anyone here cares about the sex, religion, or national origin of members. They care about helping and learning.

@ cardaddy Whoa there.... your back stopped you from photography? Man that bites!#%$^*&#$
Mine stopped me for the last 10 years from most anything. Only recently have I started being a bit more mobile, (detailing is more like therapy than work). Yes I had 3 back surgeries and a very failed neck surgery. I have 4 levels fused with plates and screws in my lower back and 2 in my neck. I have constant chronic pain in my neck, shoulder, and spine. And chronic insomnia. I'm in agony right now, having slept about 2 hours. I couldn't keep up the hours at our studio. I'd shoot 2-3 hours and rest in between. The sleep deprevation Is the killer. My wife and I worked together at least 12 hours a day 6 days a week. I also had to give up drumming, my other love. I now play 30 minutes a week in our church praise band, can't put in 4 hour gigs anymore. I do find detailing theraputic. Unfortunately I have to do it in short stints. Wash, then clay, then correct, then polish about an hour at a time. Good luck to you and any others with chronic pain or other health issues.
