Meguiar's Paint Protect 365 - Review

Don't have my trusty Makita 9227c pictured, it was lent out to a friend for some testing. I'm still very much a big fan of the rotary polishers in general, but this new Griot's polisher might have me thinking of a regime change. Flex and Rupes came close after testing, but never could pull the trigger on a purchase.

Good luck everyone!

This is a joke. Why not give it to one of the new members to have? To help them get started, most likely the "winner" already has at least 3 pieces of equipment and let me guess is a "senior member" what ever that is. Just my $.10

I will +1 again. Ive seen a couple people with a Rupes.. REALLY?

I am more than willing to take a photo of everything I bought from PBMG. Can't an exception be made that we just do a review on the new Boss if we win?
I bought a Flex 3401, Rupes 15 , Rupes mini, and Makita rotary.
Any exceptions..I don't want to do a shady review now just to qualify entry.

I'll admit, I posted a pic with my Rupes, (which is getting up there in hours used BTW), but just playing by the rules they set.

AG gives away a lot of stuff through these threads to us and each contest is slightly different with different rules that different people are qualified to win. And in the end, they're giving it away, so they can make whatever rules they want, right?

Entering is simple: First, include a link to a review you've posted on the forum within the last year. Second, post a picture of your buffer collection. The winner will be picked at random and announced on Thursday.

My guess is they are requiring you post a link to a review to encourage participation in the forum. Secondly, if your buffer collection consists of no buffers, than post the picture of a table, with the foam applicators and microfiber towels and a picture of your arm!

That's the funniest thing I've heard all day!:haha:

No IMHO ^ THIS is a joke.

Why not give it so someone who has a track record of contributing to the forum by posting quality reviews who has been here a while? Give it someone who has the experience, reputation, and ability to evaluate, review, and compare the machine to others on the market - so they can share their comments and opinions of the machine with the AGO community.

This, IMHO will benefit the forum more... Screaming "give it to a noob" is just a guy looking for a free buffer.

For full disclosure, I'm not entering this contest.

I'm not entering the contest either. Got two genuine Rupes. I think it should go to a Flex user?

I have a flex 3401 makita and pe-14 pc7424 also. I not asking for $hit. If I want something I buy it. All I'm saying is that why do you need to show your polishers? It shouldn't matter but I also know people in general are sheep also nobody asked you to comment on my post.

Submitting a photo of polishers is one of the rules for entering the contest. Hardly an unreasonable requirement; it certainly doesn't make anyone sheeple.

"TSSSSSSSTCH, switch him from the blue list to the red list asap."

All kidding aside, I think AG is looking for someone who has multiple polishers so that that person can compare the G. Boss polisher to his or her own polishers. Secondly, I believe the reviewer needs multiple reviews to show he or she is competent in conducting a review. Just my opinion...

here is the collection. a BOSS system would fit in nicely. Sorry about the dirty FLEX, I didn't have a chance to clean it after the last detail session. It is a workhorse, as is the Rupes 21 and the smaller but equally handy Porter Cable. The link to the review was rupes backing plate and matching pads. Thanks for the contest/give away! Love Autogeek. Felipe

Well said, I would add I want to see this go to someone who is a pro and post a lot of reviews. I my self am thinking of getting one and it would be nice to see a review from some one putting this thing through its paces for a few months with a lot hard work daily to see how it does and how it handles the abuse. Whats killing me is right now its on wacky wednesday sale free shipping 15 percent off and its not excluded 50-60 bucks off. Im the MAN
