I prefer Meguiar's Glass Cleaner concentrate diluted 10:1 and use a waffle weave Microfiber glass towel. This combination is hard to beat!!rops:
Bob, you always give great recommendations. I still have nearly a gallon of another glass cleaner, plus several others around. I have not found that perfect window cleaner yet. Window cleaner and MF to clean, then a water wetted MF, followed by a dry MF is about as good as it gets.
Why Meg's Glass Cleaner?
Hey Kurt
Like you I've tried just about every glass cleaner I've ever come across and none seemed to really please me.
Another product I tried is Stoner's Glass Cleaner. This is a very nice product and sold over the counter but when you look at the price per ounce it's pretty pricy.
Meguiar's Detailer's line if a great line and most of these products are designed to be diluted while really makes them economical.
Meguiar's Glass Cleaner Concentrate was on sale and at the time I was running low of Stoner's so this was the perfect opportunity to grab a gallon. Mixing it according to the dilution ratio yields 11 gallons of product. I dilute mine with distilled water as all of the minerals and impurities have been removed which could normally leave streaks.
Meguiar's Glass Cleaner really cleans well and easily removes dirt, debris, stains, smoke film, bird crap, and just about everything else I've tried it on. Use this glass cleaner with a waffle weave Microfiber Glass towel and the result will be streak free glass every time...
I spray, wipe back and fourth, flip to a dry side and dry the glass....that's it..

No better value and performance than this: plus its OTC at Walmart!
Stoner Invisible Glass Trio,Stoner Glass Cleaner,Invisible Glass Cleaner,Glass Cleaner Wipes,Auto Glass Cleaner,Car Window Cleaner
You get the best of everthing plus the rain repellant is amazing for the outside windows, Megs cant compete with than..IMO
Fussman
AND...get the Meg's gallon on a larger shipment to get you free shipping and the cost differential is even better.Stoner and Sprayway are really good products, but the Meguiars Detailers Line Glass cleaner is better for many of us.
Cost wise, it's not even close.
Stoner is $5.99 for 22oz. or $0.27 per oz, or $34.85 per gallon.
Meg's Gallon typically cost $15.00 for gallon + $10 shipping (being generous) =$25
However that one gallon will dilute to make 11 gallons of glass cleaner, bringing cost per one gallon to $2.27.
Stoner is 15X more expensive than Meg's.rops:

Another Megs vote here. Probably the most cost effective product you can buy.
I might have to give invisible glass another try in spray or aerosol form. I grabbed some wipes at walmart a while back and they were terrible, left a nasty haze and didn't seem to get much off.
