Glass Cleaning

Any version of the fast glass towel using distilled water and a second WW towel for drying. If they are really nasty, I'll do an initial cleaning with glass cleaner and MF towel, then use the mentioned combo

After years of trying different products and methods I now use 3D 50:1 glass cleaner and surgical huck towels. At .5 oz to 25 oz of distilled water you can't beat the price and it is the best glass cleaner I've ever found. Huck towels have a grain to them which seems to make them clean better. First towel is pretty damp with cleaner then second towel is dry. After the first wipe there is a light haze on the glass that removes with the dry towel wipe and you see as well as feel the haze going away as the glass becomes very slick. I'm able to clean the windows in the garage without leaving streaks.

Car soap - rinse - clay if necessary - follow with Rain-x

Adams Glass Cleaner, waffle weave/satin MF & Flyby Forte

Clay glass of needed. Megs glass cleaner or Stoners, use 2 towels.

I use nothing but distilled water mixed with denatured alcohol, and the fast glass towels.

White Vinegar,Rubbing Alcohol and Water

With the two towel method

Whats your favorite / most effective glass cleaning products and techniques?

You'll get a ton of answers on this (especially with products).

Most effective technique: I find it depends on external or internal glass.

External Glass: I find the traditional newspaper + vinegar/water mix to be very effective here. If using auto chemicals, rinseless washes work really well for me--so much so I don't use glass cleaner on anything but my windshield unless I'm prepping for a water repellant/glass sealant.

Internal Glass: Use one towel to clean and one to buff. Start with with the top edge of the window--rolled down a bit--pinch both sides of the edge, then roll it up and clean the rest of the window. If using newspaper, I find you can use one dampened with window cleaner or a mix of vinegar/water to buff.

Most effective chemical: Everyone will tell you different. I'm good as long as it's tint-safe and cleans effectively. Unlike the other chemicals like wax/sealants/polishes/etc, a lot of the automotive glass cleaners are equally good. I'm currently using Sonax glass cleaner and Sprayway (cost difference is $8) and they both work great.

Most effective towel/paper product: I personally find The Cobra Waffle Weave Microfiber Glass Towel cleans & buffs glass to crystal clarity with the soft texture of genuine Cobra microfiber. the best I've used (excluding newspaper on external glass).

I've used megs , sprayway . ww glass towels , huck towels , fast glass . but right now my go to is mf madness cloudbuster, 2 towel, with denatured alcohol/distilled h20 .

I used the Pinnacle Crystal Clear Glass Kit and it really works as they said.It was my best experience cleaning my glass.

My recipe for non streaking glass cleaner.

Glass Cleaner
1/2 cup Ammonia (sudsy or clear, Your choice)
2 cups 91% alcohol (available at any drug store)
1 tsp Dishwashing Liquid - just one level teaspoon

Water to fill 1 gal. - if you want to clean your outside house windows, then add 1TBSP of TSP (best to dissolve this before adding to the gallon).

I have not used this.

Another Glass Cleaner
1/4 cup rubbing alcohol
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 TBSP cornstarch

Just so you know, ammonia will stain tinted windows

I though I would never use a glass cleaner other than supermarket stuff, despite the fact that ammonia and rubbing alcohol both attact dust. Until I found Gel Gloss No Streak window cleaner. Wow! Clean, like it was new. Great stuff. For the green crowd, small amount of vinegar with water also works well. Finally a shout out to CG's Streak free window cleaner, another good product.

I tried nearly every glass cleaner on the market and always got subpar results. One day, I got some glass towels from GG and they changed my life. I just use cheap tint-safe glass cleaner and use one to clean and one to buff. No lint and no streaks ever. I can usually use just one and it works perfect.
