Glass coating fill capability?

I have tried the Ceriglass and Rayon pads on my DD. Had minor specs just like you describe (only visible to the AG addicted eye). I polished with rotary on 1500 for about 15 minutes per section (divided windsheild into 4 sections). What ended up happening was there were more visible chips after I polished than when I started? The problem was as the compound polished the surrounding area, it got shinier and the new chips became visible. To top it off it took me 2 hours to clean the sling off my car and some on the neighbors car . I'm done trying to polish windsheilds. Only costs me $200.00 to replace so if I can't live with it I will replace in spring.

Upsetting part my car has 8k on ODO, and changing WS will cost about $1k. It has a few sensors which have to be unglued and glued back it I doubt someone will do it neatly and properly. If I had access to electric outlet I would definitely try to improve damage with the proper tools.

Not really any "chips" to be repaired. Looks more like dust. I thought maybe the ceri-glass would knock the edges off (at the near-microscopic level) to lessen the appearance, but it sounds like I'd see minimal improvement. I did see some forum threads with some nice results, but I'm not up for a 9-hour polishing session...

I've got the same problem and I'm with ya'..... not going to spend the time, money, or effort required.... I only notice it when the sun is just coming up or just going down... otherwise it looks fine...... now, recently I was behind a truck on an interstate which was being "worked" on... low and behold and rock flew up and put a tiny chip in my windshield.... I'm hoping the summer heat will expand the chip so I can get my windshield replaced.... as of right now they're not going to replace it. I can wait.
