Hey guys,

I have seen a few videos recently regarding Glass Coatings from Brands such as
Simoniz Glass Coat and Ever Glass.

Have any of you tried any of these products and if so what do you think of them?

I was not able to find much information. To me Glass Coat seems to resemble Opti-Coat in terms of chemical composition, but I am not sure.

I would love to use Opti-Guard but the requirements are too steep for my company right now. First I can't afford a 1000$ training class and second I cannot generate the volume they require. I can't remember the exact figures but it was something like 200$ Worth of product a month minimum to be certified and be able to purchase.

So I am looking for alternatives that would be similar to what Optimum is offering without the fuss.

First of all there are no requirements to install their glass coating only to apply Opticoat Pro, which is for paint.

Glass coat is the name of the product, it's also for paint.

Opti-Guard (or Opti-Coat pro if you want) has steep requirements.

Do you mean Gloss Coat instead of Glass Coat?

Why not try Opti Glass Coating or Car Pro Flyby 40, both are great products for glass.

I've tried a few glass coating and the best results (and longest lasting one) have been with FlyBy Forte (made by CarPro). Simple application, outstanding and lasting results. I was one of the Beta Tester and did share the install and had a quick update. As of today it performs like day #1

And how long would that be? Only on my car for 3 months and so far so good.

You can still buy Opti-Glass, you just can't buy Opti-Glass Pro without being a pro installer. On the installer buying requirements, if you are doing two Opti-coat applications per month you will hit the $300 mark required really easy.

Just to clarify I believe the OP is looking for a paint coating...just happens that one of the products he's looking at has glass in the name...correct?
22ple VX pro is a nice product. Pro2 has more of a slick feel to it and is a 3 year coating. Both can be layered. Also can be topped with Top Coat.
Gtechniq C1/EXO combination has a great look as well.

Ahhhh, I knew there was a Opti-Coat Pro/Opti-Coat Pro+, but was not aware that there was an Opti-Glass Pro.

Thank you!

Yes I am looking for an alternative for Opti-Guard.

Gtechniq doesn't very long if I remember correctly... 2 years?

Have you used 22ple VX and Pro 2? If so how difficult are they to apply? I am mobile so the product I will choose has to be usable outside.
