Hey guys. Im a mobile detailer and detail in the sun all the time. I can never get the front windshield to get streak free when it is direct sunlight. Any suggestions? Tips? Products? Do I need to get a canopy?

Im a waterless detailing company. Has to be waterless.

Yes, what kind of towel, and what is your technique? Are you spraying the glass or the towel? Do you do a wet wipe followed by a dry wipe, or just one wipe and letting it dry? Are you talking about the inside or the outside, or both?

Just a regular microfiber towel. Spraying on the glass. Wiping with one towel left to right and wiping excess with additional towel. The inside is the same but wiping up and down.

Maybe multiple applications is your best bet.

Cleaning my windshield yesterday morning, in direct sun, forced me to have to spray and buff, twice, to get the bug guts and dirt off of the glass and to leave it with no streaks.

Used megs OTC glass cleaner (Perfect Clarity) and two old but clean, non-fancy OTC microfibers.

What about a waffle mc towel? Does that work better?

I've used the Invisible Glass Reach and Clean tool with great success. Apply with one bonnet buff with another or an MF towel.

Do not use their fluffy MF bonnet to buff...that lints really bad.

Forget all the expensive glass cleaners, I have used Sprayway in the sun and it works well. Just do no let it sit too long.

I throw a white towel on the outside of the windshield to reflect the sun for 15 minutes. Then use invisible glass with microfiber, no more streaks.
