Just wondering if anyone has used this tool on late model Honda Civics that have almost no clearance between the driver's upper instrument panel (hump) and the windshield. My concern is that the metal side of the tool might scuff the dashboard plastic. I suppose that I could wad up a large towel and feed it through the gap but that's a bit of a sloppy PITA. It'd be great to know what others are doing to clean this particular space and whether this tool fits for this application.

Enjoy Today.

The back of the tool is smooth, hard plastic and I've used it to clean a 2004 Honda Accord recently and it worked better than my hand...

Thanks Mr. Phillips! It looked like metal in the ads. I'll give it a go.

I should have been more specific about the year models. The latest generation Civics are the models with two separate instrument panels. The upper one is the problem child.

It works well around the HUD on the C5/C6 Vettes and the area up next to the glass. Without it, you have a dusty ribbon. It works extremely well in small areas and I find if its going to rub against something plastic, you can drap a MF over it and it works just as well.

I've had one for many years made by the company that makes the one for glass masters. Never had a problem with it marring or scratching any dash or instrument panel. Don't use it as much as i did in the past but for those of us who remember it was a necessity with all those cab forward Chrysler designs and great for any fast back type of rear glass.

I was able to test it on an 08 Civic yesterday. Going in straight forward it gets stuck about an inch back from the bottom of the windshield. I was able to wiggle it into position from the sides, but I had to really work it.

Overall it has really worked well and I would venture to guess that there are ortho surgeons out there being cheated out of their boat payments by this thing. It seems to me after using it for two weeks that the Glass Master could be used to help prevent shoulder/rotator cuff injuries.

Bottom line - worth every cent.
