I searched but have not found a glass polishing tutorial.
recently purchased the Griot's Garage Glass Polish, auto glass polish, Griots Garage Glass Polish, Polish windshield and a few Griot's Garage 6 Inch Glass Polishing Pads, Griots Garage Glass Polish Pads, Glass Polishing Discs
Please direct me to a different method / technique, as when it comes to glass polishing I'm a bit
Here is the process I have tried.
- clean glass with water *had a bit of dust*
- clay bar the glass with ONR as lube
- wipe down again with water
- clean with DP glass cleaner
- applied polish to the polishing pad
- running at speed 2, 50/50 passes on 1/3 of wind shield
I'm thinking glass is a completely different obstacle to conquer. Before starting, it had what appears to be swirls along with a few scratches. *let me explain*
The glass is OEM installed in a 1987 chevy S-10 truck
The scratches are from my own doing a loooong time ago. I was in high school with a 30 minute lunch at a part time job. I didnt have an ice scraper, so opted to use some broken glass from a picture frame that didnt survive behind the seat. This glass was around the side of my hand. *yea, really bright idea at the time*
A couple photos in the next post the glass i've been working on with the griots polish.
open for suggestions!
