Glass streaks

I use 2 WW glass towels. One to clean the windows with sprayed product. Then, the second to buff away any streaks. Works great for me.

I use water and a terry cloth(no fabrick softner)soak glass, and wipe untill completely dry :props:

These methods do work, but the amount of pressure and attention to detail increases. I spoke to a detailer working for a shop a couple years ago who never used anything but water or spit on glass, and buffed as hard as he could.

Try using newspaper to wipe the windows after you spray them with your cleaner. Cheapest and best way to clean windows. No streaking.

I beleive alot of ppl are turning a moutain into a molehill. I can clean all the interior glass on a suburban in about 6 minutes. There will be no streaks Im the MAN

Sounds like this guy you spoke with has been around the block also. Smart man :props:

Sprayway glass cleaner and some cheap paper towels work for me. Leaves no streaks or residue. We use it on all glass around the house. Product is available at the Auto Geek store. Also sold in hardware stores.

Best procedure for me is wash first with ONR, wipe dry and use Aquawax for final swipes. Underrated on windows/glass, never streaks and leaves surface smooth and slick. Makes rain bead right off during rain (no wipers needed).

- but we can't release a dependable glass cleaner that can shine windows in the sun. Awesome.

I have no experience with it, but I have read that Surf City Garage Clearly Better Glass Cleaner can be used in the sun.

Might be an interesting expirament.

I personally use IG with a 3M microfiber detail cloth and that is a winning combination for me. I also have some Adams Glass Cleaner, but the IG is still tops for me.

I do want to try the Surf City stuff sometime and I also want to try the 3M Glass Cleaner. (I used the old stuff many years ago, but can't remember how good it was...)

Good grief...I am about to go balistic trying to get the streaks out when cleaning windows. I have tried numerous products and nothing seems to work. I am using quality mf towels...wiping from side to side or up and down. But still come out with streaks.. Any suggestions ? May the detailing gods have mercy on me !!!
I had the same problem with glass cleaners. I used ClearCote Quick Shine and no more streaking. Mrs. Old Tiger swears by Glass Plus. for house glass. I dont know if it hasammonia or not.

Stoners Invisible Glass and newspaper - unbeatable combo, at least for me. Even better with the Stoner Reach and Clean handled pad - great for getting close to the dashboard.

Invisible glass and newspaper is all the wife will use on home windows too.

My approach is somewhat odd... But it works!
-Clay the windows if needed
-Use clay lube concentration of dp rinseless W&G with clean MF just as you would a glass cleaner
-Lightly buff with clean microfiber (optional)

I've been using Stoners Invisible Glass for several years now and it's the best! I use it in conjunction with a Microfiber Glass towel and no streaks at all, perfectly clear.

Now that I've achieved great success with this tried and trued combination it's time to change!!

I bought a gallon of Meguiar's Glass Cleaner - Detailer Line and mixed it according to their dilution recommendation. Instead of using ordinary tap water I picked up a gallon of distilled water so I'm not adding minerals or anything else that will streak after it dries.

So far I like it and it is a whole lot cheaper.....:props:

Wow lots of great answers/ideas! Looks like I have a bunch of new options to try, and it wasnt even my question...LOL:xyxthumbs:
