you will be happy with the pete's wax...pic from the mustang writeup i did...applies the same as souveran...53% bazilian white nuba is a definite bonus to this stuff...

The Pete's sounds really interesting. Aside from a high percentage of white carnauba, it also contains montan oil and propolis which I know are also ingredients in many of the Zymol Estate Glazes.

the other thing I like about this wax is behind the fragrance (i think it is buttered popcorn) you can smell the the wax..and what I mean by that is you can smell it has a high carnuba content because you can actually smell WAX...

So what's WAX smell like? :D

Not sure I've ever smelt wax...

I though that wax smells like crayons. There is a scent that smells like buttered popcorn. It was made for theaters.

montan, like beeswax does absolutely nothing for protection or benefits to a cars paint finish. It does sound like a mixture of a Zymol Estate Glaz however.

I am just unsure how this fits, since their Hardcore XXX and CG5050 are already white carnauba and truthfully DONT look all that different in outcome.

I see they offer a couponcode, anyone know it ??

Mainly my point was that the formulas are similar. I was not trying to make any statement about these ingredients lending any positive attributes to the overall product. I've seen some in the past post the ingredients of a product to argue positive/negative attributes (likely information from another source which they are simply regurgitating). I however would never do that as I am well aware that I am not a chemist. BTW, I know this seems like a defensive post but I was not offended by your post at all.

Also, I would love the CG's coupon code if anyone knows it too! :D

not sure if they actually have any coupon codes..their website doesnt even list all the products they have...the web page is slowly coming along...

I did a search over on Autopia and many people have asked about coupon codes for CG, but the answer is always that there isn't one.

I though that montan wax was just a different wax. Caranuba wax - vegetable wax, Bees wax -animal wax , Montan- mineral wax. You blend the 3 waxes together to get the properties you want.

the best coupon is to show up in person...they always throw a good deal my way with lots of samples...

Montan wax is made from young coal deposits...it is in effect a fossilized plant wax. Its melting point is 82-95 °C. which is also white when refined

taken from wikipedia

Montan wax in polishes improves scuff resistance and increases water repellence, and imparts high gloss.

No offense taken nor issued. I too am no scientist but have listened to others and read alot about waxes. As offered, this offering does sound ALOT like a certain "other" offering by a company starting with Z.

What I have found over the years is that beeswax helps with beading. It is used in even those car wash/wax AIO type deals because it "looks" waxed when you see beading. Montan, as offered has a relatively low boiling point, and is used as softer wax. Neither offers any of the benefits that the carnauba ingredient does. Infact, when Souveran was designed the chemist purposely designed without them and was in a story Terri originally wrote about the wax. (use search , too lazy to track)

As we all know most waxes share ingredients. That doesnt make one look exactly the same as others either. So I did like you all did, I ordered it. :D

Scott, what product(s) did you end up getting?

Glassyn Glaze (sounds more like a sealant to me) and the Pete's wax.

Enjoy :)

Would you mind posting any pictures and/or your thoughts on either or, both? I'm trying to get my hands on either, but funds simply won't allow me.......yet. ;)

I wish I could get in on this, but reviews are nill, and I usually don't buy a product without extensive user reviews or trying a sample myself. :o

Sorry Al..
