I have a black 97 SVT Cobra and will be placing an order on Tuesday for some Souveran. I would like to know if I should you a glaze under Souveran and if so, what kind? Here is the process I will use (please feel free to comment) as the paint is in very good condition.

Wash
Clay
SSR1
EXP
Glaze
Souveran

I honestly didn't care for XMT Glaze, reminded me more of Meg's Cleaner Wax. RMG/CG EZ-Creme are potent combo's under Souveran, extremely dark, deep and wet. RMG even makes a difference on light colors.

If the paint is in good condition, i would have used DuraGloss #101 and Pinnacle Souveran. need more protection? for even more durability the DuraGloss #105 over the #101 aint bad. then Souveran on top.

I agree. I loved my sample of RMG. And CG has been producing some promising products...

Everyone has their own favorites and I wouldn't argue with RMG being a great product, but I still really like the XMT glaze and Souveran on a black car. The glaze really brings out the color and wets and glosses the paint. Just my humble 2 cents.

XMT glaze and Souveran

only glaze to date that I saw a noticable difference with Souveran Paste is Red Moose Glaze, and unfortunately we dont carry it any longer.

I would say it and CG EZ-Creme glaze are the best all around, even noticeable on white, made my white suv take on a darker/deeper tone.

I wanna see AG come out with an acrylic type glaze.

Thanks all, I will try to post some pics in a week or so when the weather gets nice outside. The car only has 4,800 miles, so it is museum quality to start with.
