Glaze over Sealant??

Mike Phillips was aligned with Megs and one of their shining stars, he will soon be with Autogeek and I suspect will enhance video's and how-to's. Its a great upgrade ...

Megs #7 is a pure glaze with no protection properties. Because of the oils and chemical makeup it should be topped with a pure wax for best results. There are newer sealant compatible glazes now on the market that work with sealants like Wolfgang. Two that come to mind are offered by Poorboys and designed for darker or lighter colors.

Just remember the glaze goes under the sealant ....

Thanks for the quick reply,

"unknown guy named Mike Phillips" was a bit tongue in cheek as I have been reading here for a few weeks as well as MOL trying to learn & re-learn everything I can.

One more question a bit off-topic but you did bring it up.

Darker / Lighter colours 2 of my 3 cars are blue, one is Volkswagen Techno Blue (on a Miata) and the other is a Subaru Impreza World Rally Blue Pearl are they classified as Light or Dark?

(I will most likely use 'Wolfgang Deep Gloss Total Concours Kit' and PB 2.5 & 2 with a PC)

I would shift towards the dark personally, but doubt either is wrong. Sounds like we could have a test-off or challenge ..."which glaze is superior for blues"

Danase wet glaze can be used either under or over any wax or sealent.

I also use Danase Wet Glaze over sealants and carnaubas to get a fresh wet look. After using it on top of carnauba, I've also then applied a sealant. DWG is a versatile glaze with no cleaners. IMO, it's the exception to the general glaze rules.

Also UPGP sealant can be applied over any type LSP according to the manufactuer.

Old thread, but good thread! I've used BlackHole Glaze over the EX-P Sealant, but only after the sealant cured for 45min to an hour or so... then I added Nattys blue, then Meguiar 26
