hey guys i was wondering what you guys suggested for a Glaze? i want to buy a bottle and try it out.

i heard PB black hole, Black light, and blackfire were good choice's.

are they just fillers for the scratches? and bring the pop out into the color?

also for sealant right now i'm using CG carnuba cream which i heard mixed reviews about and i believe their sealant doesnt really last that long i havent tested it persay. just applied and went with it. havent tested the durability and would like other suggestions if possible also.

i'm using LC black foam pads to apply sealant and recently bought some HD blue polishing pads. thanks for you guys input.

applying on my personal DD subaru wrx in black (crystal silica black)

not sure about wax cause thats just a +1

Black Hole is an excellent Glaze IMO. Any glaze is basically a "filler" for scratches and light swirls. I would rather compound/polish them out and then apply a sealant. A good combo would be Menzerna FG400 (compound) and SF4000 as a polish.

Wolfgang, Megs and Blackfire have there combos too. It is just a matter of preference. I like the Menzerna products.
For a Sealant I would get either the following: Menzerna Powerlock, Wolfgang Sealant or Blackfire Sealant. You can't go wrong with any of the 3 mentioned.

As for CG products, I no longer use them as I feel there are better products out there...again, my opinion.

right now i'm using the swirl remover/700/721/778 for removing scratches swirls etc and using Polish 3N from CG for combo (3N currently out of stock)

i know menz is a good combo for both compound and polish. which i may try once i lose more inventory.

i'm definitely going to try black light/black hole w black fire sealant and see how that works out.

its fine to put sealant on top of glaze correct?

i was looking at blackfire and their sealant is spray?

You can put a sealant or wax over a glaze. As for Blackfire they have their sealant and their spray. 2 different products. The spray is more of a maintenance after the sealant. Blackfire Wet Diamond Spray is a good one

Glaze......3M Imperial Hand Glaze
Sealant...3M Perfect-It Show Car Liquid Wax

You can put some, but not all waxes over a glaze

The obvious exception is cleaner waxes

There are some waxes that are not generally suggests for layering. I would avoid putting these on top of a glaze

I only have experience with WGDGPS over CG EZ Glaze Acrylic II

Looks great and durable (6 months)

yeah i dont mess w wax right now just trying glazes and sealant combo.

cleaner waxes??

Here's two more good G&S-combos:

Glaze.......Finish Kare 303 Foam Pad Glaze
Sealant....Finish Kare 2180 Ultra Polymer Sealant

Glaze.......Meguiar's M305 Ultra Finishing Durable Glaze
Sealant....Meguiar's M21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0

I personally disagree with the concept that glaze can be sealed in. There is no technical reason it should be and my anecdote agrees. Yes, you can get something that looks like it is glazed and behaves like it is sealed... But the glaze appearance lasts no longer than if you glaze in isolation. In fact, the longevity of the sealant can be diminished by the glaze and, as discussed, the sealant step can end up removing some of the glaze.

Imo, if your sealant needs a glaze, you should consider a different sealant. At the very least, tell your brands to pull the finger out. These products can do both, that is exactly what an AIO should do.

AOI meaning a glaze and a sealant?

a few members suggested me a glaze and sealant and i'll definitely try to combo on my black car and hope that it works well and the durability is there

Wolfgang Glossy Paint Sealant.
All you need IMO

You can always glaze later down the road for that extra pop, Chemical Guys EZ Cream works very well for me, in fact I apply a coat every time I do a full wash.
Try that Wolfgang:)
Amazing protection and shine, oh, a little goes a long way.

Black light topped wit CG V7 Is a good combo. You want to reapply the V07 after every couple washes. This process is as simple as using a QD. Should get a few months out of it and the look is incredible.

My personal favorite glaze is Wet Glaze 2.0. It contains no fillers so corrected, polished paint is best. WG 2.0 is a pure gloss enhancer that produces depth, gloss, and dripping wet reflections!

"Wet Glaze 2.0 is made with acrylic polymers that form a very strong bond to the vehicles surface so you are sure it will not wash away like other glazes.
The polymers also allow Wet Glaze 2.0 to do something that you can't even think about doing with other glazes, they allow it to be topped with a wax or sealant without any bonding or application issues!"

Layering...
As stated, you can layer below and/or above your wax or sealant. I've done 2-3 layers directly on the paint then applied my sealant of choice. For that Saturday night out I apply one or two layers on top.

I have not experienced diminished performance from Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, when I apply Chemical Guys EZ Creme Acrylic Glaze II underneath it

I still get 6 months

Todd Cooperider swears by EZ under sealant

Can there be any other CG products that Todd "swears by"?

In my professional opinion, Chemical Guys Black Light is one of the great products available out there in the market, and it most definitely gets my seal of approval"!

Mr. Cooperider publishes a list of his 10 favorite products. It contains products from many different manufacturers.

Who knows who is being paid to promote any given product?

The post was meant to express my personal experience with EZ and potentially bolster that position by adding the supporting opinion of a "known" detailer.

As always, take it for whatever you think it's worth

Amigo blows away BL. But, you prolly won't here that from TC - since they don't sell Prima. Al least with Amigo you know what it is. With BL you have a sort of mystery product that supposedly cuts, slices, and dices.
