Hello,

So i working on my civic...i have a thread going on the show and shine section (without any pictures as im only taking finished pics)...

Anyway, the car is an 07' Fiji Blue Pearl Honda Civic (lots of flakes)...im looking for suggestions as to what might be the best combination on my car for pop from the flakes, protection, and durability...with the products in which i have!

Glazes - Clearkote VMG and RMG

Waxes - Clearkote Yellow Cream Wax & Clearkote Carnauba Moose Wax, Pinn Liquid Sov., Pinn SSII

Sealants - DG #105

Sprays - DG Auqawax, OPT Car Wax, Clearkote Quick Shine

So, with all of this haha, what do you think my best options are!?!

Thanks!

It looks like you have the right products
I'm not familiar with the Fiji Blue Pearl. Is it dark blue, or light blue?
On dark cars I've use RMG and Pinnacle Paste. I've also heard the VMG and the CMW are a great combo in lighter colors as well as in dark colors...

From what I've read SSII is supposed to be good for pop. Durability wise I'd make sure to put a layer of DG105 on there. Can't provide any input with regard to the Clear Kote products.

can i layer SSII wax? also, i am thinking of topping off with DG#105...is this ok?

Thanks!

you can top sealant with nuba without issue, I really dont see where nubas layer truthfully and one coat is best unless you missed a spot or two.

Killr, have you spit shine your vette with a nuba? If so, is it worth the time and effort?

I havent .. have seen some that the owner suggest a spit-shine was done, and not enough difference in my eyes to justify the extra time needed. To each their own however.

It's not wise to use a wax on metallic cars with lots of flakes
Use a pure sealant that lets the light through.
