Wrong.

You can definitely apply Gloss Coat in the heat as long as you're in the garage and the paint has cooled to ambient temp. It literally will be a wipe on and level application. Ive applied GC, CQuartz Classic, CQuartz Finest, and OCP in the same conditions.

Not to hijack this thread but what about humidity or even applying a coating when it's raining out, the car would be under the open carport so it would be dry? It is pretty humid over here and rains constantly. I'm using duragloss enviroshield.

Optimum Gloss Coat flashes differently depending on temperature.
You can see the high spots dissappear when applyig (they look like oil stains on water).
Trick is do panel at a time and wait for it to flash if in doubt.
I find humidity affects more the temperature.

Just installed gloss coat on a car in 90* heat with ridiculous humidity( I live in NC). No issues. I applied 3 very light coats and one heavy coat cause I was getting annoyed there was still product. It flashed almost immediately and required very little knock down of high spots. I normally waited about 30 seconds or so and went back over lightly with the applicator to smooth anything out. Once I was done JUST to make sure I wasn't dealing with ant residual high spots I lightly wiped the car down with a MF. I found one high spot the next day which was a pain since I inspected every inch of the car with my halogens. Buffed that tiny spot real quick and applied 4 quick coats back to back there before the client came to get it. Gloss coat is SUPER easy to work with.
