Ok guys...kinda "new" to the forum and am needing some professional advise! I am going to be starting up a mobile detail business and will be installing all my Equipment in a Big chevy van! Im very picky and i guess this is why i am postng this question...Where do i purchase the up most top of the line equipment? steamers, extractors, generator (so many) pressure washer, so on... because there ar eso many brands out there i am lost on what is THE TOP OF THE LINE , Very Best! Thanks in advance for any help.

Do a Google search. there are a bunch of companies that sell mobile auto detailing set ups. Detail king and Rightlook. Autogeek also sells some of the things you will need.

Thanks alot for getting back to me ....i have been to about ever website out there and have seen some amazing setups and have gotten some fantastic ideas....but again there is SO MANY companies out there...only one im sure of for carpet extractor is mytee HP100... My question is what is the ferrari of steam cleaners and pressure washer and generator .... like the honda because it is very low on noise and has a good warrenty...

You first purchase should be the Mike Phillips & Renny Doyle combo book set. It will save you hundreds if not thousands in money! Can I get an Amen?

Amen.

BTW sometimes you don't need the best or brand name, expierence is a great teacher. Starting a business will be demaanding enough on your check book. There are a several ways to succeed and a thousand ways to fail.

Best wishes.

I'm also going to start a mobile service hopefully be running by March. First I'm doing research in the area going to dealerships and privately owned asking what services they prefer. Also just ordered the audio books by Mike Phillips. Also laying out a business plan before I just jump right into it. I want to succeed in something I take pride in. You don't have to have top of the line to be successful. Also I'm going to target the private sector. I have gone to the competition sites and business to see what they offer and pricing. I want to have business lined up before I have made the big purchases. So far I have good feed back from future customers. Also think about joining your local chamber of commerce. Get your business name out there. Also see what kind of bonds and lic are required in your area. Just some ideas. Main target for me is going to be autos and Marine. Coming from the South there are just as many boats as there is autos lol. A lot of bass boats out there and clients like their boats shine on tournament day.

Well i plan on getting educated the best i can and already have a business plan set up.....im in 110%..only reason why i ask is that i want good quality equipment and my question is what brands are highly praised on! My biggest question is what steam machine would you suggest? I wont be blowing money, i do alot of research and i study up , this is part of my study and by having these questions answered helps me put certain things to rest!

PRIMO Steam Cleaning System is what I have, I think its was a great investment, for an extractor Mytee. I hope this helps.

Check out refreshyourhome.com if you want to see some nice professional duty steamers and extractors. A dual (stainless steel) tank unit will be more convenient but less reliable than a single tank unit. If you will be using steam for long periods or will have multiple workers using a lot of steam you'll want a dual tank unit.

Start with craigslist you can get everything for a great deal

My advice is also to get as many products that you can that do more
Ie have more purposes, such as uwwp

I want to thank everyone so far for all your input...beleive it or not it helps me with doing a little research and as for craigslist and ebay i live on those site! Again thanks everybody!

Has anyone purchased a company designed unit (Pressure washer & Tank) say from RIGHT LOOK or DETIL KING or NATIONAL DETAIL, If so how was it and how was it as far as in quality)
