I was at the chemical guys store yesterday. Almost everything was the same price as their website.. unless you buy in combo.. like V7 & Blacklight together was discounted 10-15%, but if you buy individually, it was the same price as website.

The only GREAT deals were glossworkz (10$ per bottle), and the pad conditioning brush ($3 ... compared to the outrageous $13 or so charged by all detailing websites). I got the brush, stripper scent (which was again same price as website - $10 +tax), and some hand applicator pads, squeeze bottle caps, etc.

I wish I had not bought some of the stuff already.. the foam DA pads, backing plates, and towels were decently priced.. but I already had several of those already.. so I had to unfortunately pass. The girl working at the counter (no, not the models :-() was extra nice.. she even threw in a couple extra spray heads for free!!! I could not believe it since my order was so small (only $15)! I wish they open up a store closer to my place in San Jose... I would not buy from anywhere else if they did!!

lol so after all the suggestions of people telling you what you should get on your trip after you asking...

you only walk out with a bottle of glossworkz and a brush...okay
all the big hype for a $15 cart lol

Hmm thats weird... i used their Luber as well...
But it made my hands all blue...
i even scrubbed it with a brush... and still wouldnt come off

Hey david hows that CG microfiber wash?
I like it alot. I usually wash about 6-7mf towels that I use for removing polishes and wax I use 4caps it makes lots of suds. Of all other microfiber towels like for interior and wheels i use 5caps.

Yup.. she suggested glossworkz may not work well for me since I am in an apartment, and it foams a lot.. so it will be difficult to wash a car with glossworkz without a hose.. but I bought it anyway. Stripper Scent was recommended by all the folks here, so got that.

I plan to use Collonite 845 as a sealant, and I read on several places that 845 does not bond well with anything.. so using glaze below it is not the best thing.. Hence I decided against it.

They had some really good MF towels.. waffle weaves for drying, thick ones with silk edges, ones for removing waxes, etc.. Unfortunately I had already bought enough MF towels to last me a while, and I did not want to stock up given the space crunch in my apartment..

can you tell me how you like the microfiber wash, and compare to something like MICRO RESTORE if you tried it before?
I read mixed reviews...one person (mjane or something) said it foams too much, and ont he AG review page, it says NO FOAM...lol contradicting

I have never tried Micro restore but i do like the CG microfiber wash. It foams good it depends how much you use its very concentrated. 3-5caps full is more than enough depending on how dirty your towels are. leaves them smelling fresh and clean
