Going to Destin FL, what to do/eat?

Goong to Destin next weekend and would like some suggestions. Need something kid freindly as I have 2 year old twins.
 
Wing house is nice, but not very kid friendly, but definitely "friendly" hehehe
 
Never heard of Wing House. We usually go about twice a year and lately my favorite is the Crab Trap. My wife like McGuires thats ove in Ft. Walton. Just seeing if there is anything I need to try this trip.
 
Places like Crab Trap are probably the safest bet. Go where the locals go (if you can find out). not sure what else there is to do over in the panhandle. The beaches are nice, fishing is good and the weather should be milder.
 
I like The Red Bar but not too sure if its kid friendly. Ft. Walton has lots to do for kids. Destin is more relaxed feeling to me. I will have to remember the Crab Trap for my next visit.
 
There's lots of shopping in Destin, if I remember correctly. And the beaches are nice!
 
Watch for sharks.....buggers over there like to take nips at people .....we were out there once surfing and next wave was comming up and buddy noticed something, was a bull shark swimming through the wave. Made me pucker right up :eek:
 
You got that right Surfer. Great shark fishing up there. The locals like to use the tourists as bait.

I've had some close encounters, but that time creeped the hell out of me, as it was so erie watching it glide through the wave like that that. Fin never came out, imagine the wave coming towards you to break and then seeing a shark just swimming perpendicular through it.
 
Is the water there still warm enough for swimming? I hope the kids can at least play in the pool some. The crab trap will be at the top of my list but need another suggestion or 2. Anyone familiar with the Back Porch? Heard its good just haven't tried it.
 
I don't post really, mostly read, but figured I'd try chatting.

Swimming is not bad out here right now. I live in gulf breeze, about 30 minutes away. And I actually work at McGuire's out in Pensacola. Best pub around. haha.

I'm about to head out but send me a message and I'll let ya know whats around.
 
Well thats good to know. I do really like McGuires and the kids like looking at all the "moneys" on the ceiling LOL!
I think we are coming in on Thursday afternoon and leaving on Sunday so I want to fit as much in as possible.
