Gonna buy a steamer???



This one cost $129.99 at Harbor Freight. I just bought one @ 20% off with their sales.

So came out to about $103 + tax

Works great. I already did some damage with it inside my car :laughing: so it is pretty strong and seems to run forever. I am really glad I bought a steamer finally and I can always upgrade. I see from barely using it, what the hype is all about. It's not a cure all, just another tool in my arsenal might I add.

The way I saw it was, I have minimal steamer using experience. Why not get something that won't break the bank and I could work my way up to a better one, when the times comes? So picked this one up for $103.
 
Harbor Freight has a sale going on right now btw. Thru Dec. 17th according to their website.

Grabbed it at $148 (plus NYS Amazon tax)!

I was tempted to get one of the repackaged ones from Amazon Warehouse Deals for $126, but for a $22 difference I figured the new one was the better deal. Stoked!
 
Yet another box that'll go straight from the porch to the back of the garage before SWMBO sees it...
 
Buying the MC 1385=worst mistake I ever made.:cry:

Mistake#1 Told the misses it would work great in the house (undercover operation, get it into the house and justify the purchase) Im the MAN
Mistake#2 Delivered while I was at work, the misses opens the package and proceeds to start steam cleaning everything in the house. :eek:
Mistake#3 Reaching out to take the MC 1385 away from the misses to test on vehicle, resulting in threats of extreme pain if I tried. :argue:
So far everything in the house is getting steam cleaned, my misses has already set-up for my daughter to "borrow" it for her house. :doh:
Lessons learned
#1 Don't use the "it's for the house" excuse, it will be used against you in court or life by you significant other, go the stealth mode- sneak it in and don't tell them.
#2 Order two of them if you suspect your misses knows of the purchase, or you are unable to sneak it in. you will not see it again if they get there hands on it.
#3 Do not tell her it was for the car. She will start eyeballing your other tools and supply of car cleaning products. (she already has spotted my Flex 3401 and Griots 3" DA)

So far I can't tell you how good it works on my car, but I sure got a sanitized,clean house and a wife that loves the MC 1385
