I have not used my orange CCS pad yet but it is a safe assumption that if you do use an orange pad you should finish with a white pad?

Probably, although the 360 finishes off very well. It's a pad-dependent product meaning the more aggressive pad that you use, the more correction you will get. You will probably need to go over it again with a less aggressive pad afterwards. It is a very good product.

Cool... so I don't need to do anything special like wash it with dish detergent to remove any leftover sealant/waxes or whatever the detailer used, right? Just wash it normally and go straight to buffing?

Correct. Unless it needs to be clayed before the polishing. Either way, no dish detergent required, or recommended!

Got everything in the mail today, that was like newegg shipping speed!

I don't think I mentioned it but I also threw a sea sponge into my order. I'm looking at it right now, it's still sealed in plastic but it looks like there is sand everywhere adhering to the plastic. Extremely tiny particles, but a lot non-the-less. What's with that? The description says they go through a thorough cleaning process before shipping... I'm afraid to wash my car with this assuming that what I see is indeed sand particles.
