Good bye toyota Hello ford!

Sweet looking car! :dblthumb2: I must say though, I don't envy you cleaning the rims on that car. Are you going to leave the stock rims or put some different ones on?

When I first saw it I said the same thing lol. I'm gonna leave it stock.

Congrats! My niece bought a Fusion last yeart, and loves it. She traded a Toyota too.

First thing I did was get an Audio system, tint the windows then car alarm. Should probably have done it in reverse haha

Just know that your car looks sweet Eddie. I'm just more into customs.
I used to have a 55' Chevy Bel Air. I'll get one again. I want it black with 100 coats of clear for that mirror finish. I'll color sand and buff the heck out of it.

Love the new Fusion, drove one about 2 wks ago, "taut" suspension, so it should be an inspired drive!

Thanks Hernandez. Back in the day I way a car audio installer and use to compete in SPL competitions. I'm over having the loudest system around, now i like a good SQ system. Right now im pretty happy with the stock one. I always said, if I can have a show car, it would be black, but not for a daily driver, my last car was black and nevere again. lol

The car doesnt have any DISCO's that ive seen yet, but if you notice in the pics, the paint doesnt pop. So I was thinkng of hitting it with some 205 on a white pad, then some xmt finishing glaze, then topped with some 845.

Nice pick up and Steeda does make tunes for the fusion.

Thanks kbmag. I just checked the steeda website and I didnt see anything for the 13, do you know who has them?

Well I'm not aware of anything for the Fusion 1.6L Ecobost but Cobb tuning has items for the Focus ST. To be honest with you, a simple muffler deletion of any turbo car will net a great sound and not loud, remember, the turbo acts as a muffler on a turbo car. My one buddy has an 08' Mazdaspeed 3 w/o a muffler and it sounds very good, his wife had a CX-7 w/ the same motor and he removed its muffler, about the size of a 55 gallon drum (ok, maybe a 35 gallon drum, LOL) and it sounded pretty good as well!

Something to think about....oh and BTW, when K&N makes its typhoon intake for the Ecoboost Fusions, get it, the fit and finish is always good. I've had em' on my last 2 Honda's and I can't imagine another brand going on my car, well engineered piece.

Good stuff! Thanks for the info.

Your back in the day is my current day. My uncle was from a time when cars were lowered, put on Dayton's and hydraulics. I thought 300 watts max output would be sufficient. Wasnt happy with the sound (not enough bump) So now I'll be getting an Alpine 10" sub 3,500 watt max 1,000 peak.

So it seems that we are the ones taking the baton.

Will do my best.

If thats a typeR you're gonna get, make sure you get a ported box for it. They respond way better in a ported than sealed. Good luck with the Baton! LOL

As a Ford guy, I think the hate on Toyota is overdone. You can say what you want about Ford, but it is obviously an outfit run by very opinionated engineers, not marketing guys. That's good and bad, but mostly good, in my opinion.

One peculiarity of Ford is that they allow you to buy an extended, transferrable, factory warranty from any Ford dealer, so there are heavily discounted deals on the web. I got a 7yr 100,000 mile "basic" policy (i.e. covers the stuff that strands you) for about $750 (this was a year ago). Not that I don't trust Ford's QC or anything....

Thats an awesome deal! I like that they didnt take the bail out and on top of that, through my union, we get the ford x-plan. Its pretty much a couple bucks above employee pricing. My car is a lease and they dont have a disposition fee, thats huge!
