duragloss 902 (the gallon) is available at federated/napa/carquest and is as good as the best boutique shampoos. i only use that or optimum regular shampoo.

Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo or Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax would both be good bets for over the counter shampoos. You can usually find either/or at Wal-Mart.

I'm happy with the Meguiar's Gold and I have a jug of the purple Meguiar's basic wash for doing freebies for friends/family. Good stuff.

I use Gold Class now for three years and it's nice. Very slick. Recently I bought some PB slick and suds, but I only use it now and then. Like every 2 or 3 washes. That yellow Megs one with the wax in it is pretty impressive stuff. My GF uses it on her white car mostly and you can really see the shine, even on white. As I said, pretty impressive, especially for OTC. The only reason I havent been using it much is because I've been hitting mine with Wolfgang spritz sealant in between waxes and I didn't want any other wax getting in the way between it and the coat of WGDGPS that's on the car already.

You might give Turtle Wax Ice Shampoo a try. It's been a while since I last used it (I've now tried Gold Class, NXT, and Wash & Wax), but as I recall, Ice cleaned just fine and rinsed off nicely.

I would also recommend NXT but it's becoming increasingly difficult to find over-the-counter.

I used NXT soap in past and worked well. A very long time ago I use to use Zymol and often see it at Target and wonder how it would stack against newer soaps like Poorboys, Optimum, Zaino and Duragloss.

megs gold class is very nice. i used to use it alot intill pinnacle took over my collection.:xyxthumbs:

All the Walmart's and Meijer in my area used to carry Meg's gold class and I've just recently run out, I ran all around town to all of them the other day, now they only carry deep crystal and wash&wax which I do not care for.

Meg's Ultimate Wash and Wax, Meg's Gold Class and NXT are all great quality washes that you can buy OTC.

I need to find a way to secure NXT car wash locally. I just ain't going to pay shipping costs for car wash. I love the way Wash & Wax smells, but I prefer a wash that rinses clean. If I want extra gloss, I'll wax the car.
