Good QD towel that isn't too plush?

Hi all, new to this site, but not to detailing. I've been doing a lot of reading, but seem to be having an issue I haven't seen mentioned often. I want to use the plushest microfibers possible when QD'ing my car, but I'm finding the 16" x 16" 600 GSM towels difficult to hold, and control.

In use, when folded up in quarters, they trend to unravel causing the towel edges to contact the paint, or I end up using more force just trying to hold the towel together which could then be transferred to the paint.

Wondering if anyone has any techniques to share, or recommendations on other double sided plush towels for QD, and rinseless washes. Are the 12 x 16 towels out there much better to control?

one thing you can try are microfiber gloves. they will help your grip with towels.
 
Everyone will have different opinions. I don't care for the towels Bill posted for QD (they're too "sticky" on my hands when dry). My favorite are the Arctic White towels. Just picked up some more recently. I have no problems controlling either towel, but on dry hands, the Arctic White feels much better. Love the blue ones for rinseless/wet cleaning though.

I had been thinking about the Korean MFT's. I will also try using the gloves to see if that helps with my current towels.

I hadn't thought about Arctic whites, are they plush on both sides? It is very hard to tell from their pics. I may also check out the Crazy Piles. They are significantly more expensive, but the car recently underwent a full correction, and I would like to maintain the finish as long as possible, and devote my time elsewhere.

These will mainly be used for QD/Waterless washes on a non daily driver during the winter after the occasional drive. I will dust the car first with an OXO duster, use uww+, and then reinstall its form-fit indoor car cover.

Another vote for Arctic whites - yes, they're plush on both sides. I like 'em a lot. :xyxthumbs:
 
the arctic white is the same towel as the korean microfiber tech, just a diff color (the grey or blue fluffy 16x16).

those and the gold plush jr are the most ideal for any type of spray and wipe product.

the gold plush jr are also most ideal for rinseless IMO.
