I got the Speedy Surface Prep Towels (medium and fine). All I can say is I'll never use clay again. Amazingly effective and efficient. Make sure you have plenty of lube on hand!
 
Was waiting for a review on those myself before I spent the cash, thank you!

These towels are definitely any detailer should have in their arsenal. While clay still does have a place in my bag, the towel gets the most use and nets great results at a fraction of the time. Small investment, huge returns. You won't be upset after purchasing it and using it.

What would be an instance where you would use clay instead of the towel.
 
i think its all preference^ both clay and towel do the same. i personally feel the clay car is a bit more affective. but nonetheless, both are great

Oh I don't think I'm enough of a pro to do an official review on much of anything. I will say there is a MAJOR difference between "Fine" and "Medium". I tried both on different sections of my neighbors car (they think I'm nuts, that's okay their cars are trashed.) The "fine" made some noise and took off some stuff, but dude the "medium" sounded like raking your fingernails down a chalkboard. It took off EVERYTHING. There was even tiny holes in the paint where it dragged stuff out. True story.
 
Small investment, huge returns. You won't be upset after purchasing it and using it.

Call me old school I will always use clay. I have tried both and work great but I still like clay the best.
 
This past week at the Mobile tech expo talked to the Meguiras rep, the Meguiars Rinse Free Express Wash can be used as a lube for clay, or the speedy towel. diluted 1 oz. to 1 gallon of water. I haven't tried it yet, I have some samples that I will be using it tomorrow.
 
Did it cause any marring to the paint? I used a Chemical Guys clayblock once and it marred the crap out of the paint.

No it did not, but I can see how the "medium" might if you don't use enough lubricant or if you do not prep it properly according to the directions.
