No way am I a pro detailer but with this machine it makes me look like one.
I've used the old huge orbital for years. I do know how to use a high speed and have used one with success but it freaks me out each time as I don't want to damage the paint.
I recently picked up a 1969 F100 that is black. I can't really tell if it was ever painted cause of the few marks on it the paint is not stacked up. Anyway, I gave it a good bath, used the clay bar and went to town. I usually use the 3M Perfect-It compound but I had a bottle of meguires ultimate compound and polish. I'm not done as the truck is just a toy in the garage. I still have the passenger side to do and then a coat of wax but this machine has made quick work.
I'm learning about the different pads and the videos are great. Looking forward to reading up more. Just ordered some more pads and now it looks like I will tackle the Excursion next. For that I'll need to do the rub down with M7 first then compound, polish and wax. Here are a few of the truck. Sorry for the bad cell pics.
