got my #1 Van !

Cosmin I thought you were in Austin but that's a Dallas number...?
Did you relocate?

no i didn`t , i live and work in Austin , i use to live in dallas so i keept the number.

today i use my 10x20 canopy for first time , has 6 legs , aroudn 73pounds , aluminum frame , all the top frame has an xframe reinforce inside , takes around 5 min to set it up.... is sweet to have shade , at least you can get most of the car done in the shade , turn the car around and finish.

Ok Cos, we are salivating for some more interior pics of the set up. I am really thinking of getting a Transit. Did you purchase the partitions and shelving as kits for the Transit or did you create something from scratch?

The setup works great, and I'm glad it's working out for you!

What kinda MPG does that van get all loaded down?

Nice set-up. Love the van for sure. Where did you get your tent?

i just add to the van the canopy and generator , but before was easy over 20 mpg , with 30 gal of water in the tank.

Transit is good for small set-up, non hi-volume, low/mid volume works , as you can see mine is packed , but i have everything i need there.
i bought the window grills , partition wall and the "door" shelf , all others i build it ( floor , 2 shelf )

here some pictures with cargo area , i didnt plan for canopy , so... i fit it in , also i still have to do some work on 12v lines and plan get an air blower.

Cosmin,

What kind of filter is that, and where do I get one?

I am putting my tank and plumbing together right now, and am planning to order a 3GPM 12v ShurFlo On-Demand pump this week. Thanks to your picks, I went out and bought (2) 5000# cargo ty-downs to secure my (massive) 250 gal tank.

It's taking a bit longer than I thought to piece it all together, but I will start posting some pics soon. *Mind you, this is my 1st rig, and is being built on a budget of $7500 - $10,000.

Man, these pictures are a HUGE blessing, and your rig is awesome.

Thank -You!

Wow! Amazing results on softening the water. Found their website and it appears they are located here in Florida. I can see you "spare no expense" on your rig, as I have now added yet another item to my wish list...LOL (*Bit pricy at the moment, might have to start with something a little cheaper and work up to the Spot Free kit.)

While I am a fanatic when it comes to having the right tools for the job, the wife and my budget only permit the 'must have's" right now... but when "she" (*the boss) see's $$$ coming in, definitely installing one of those bad boys.:xyxthumbs:

Being my background was building/plumbing swimming pools, I'm looking into using a Hayward C225 Micro Catridge filter ($55) to pre-filter and (maybe) a Griot's Garage water softener #37244 ($129) - for now. Although I already don't like the plastic nipples on the Griot's water softening unit.

Still researching options.

Edit: Might just start w/ AG's GHF-DELUXE unit for $139.99 to get rolling

Cosmin...I am happy for you. What you did...a lot of us wish we could do. You saw your vision and you are following your passion. Congrats for being smart enough to know what you are great at. You are motivating a lot of people.

Cosmin, kudos to you! Looks great, and no doubt this will help many people. It sure gave me many ideas!

A bit OT but if you haven't been to Llano to eat at Cooper's BBQ, you're missing out! Looks like you're doing nicely in Austin. Best of luck :)

Im sorry but i have to ask, is the 2000watt generator sufficient to run everything you have?

Congrats Cosmin! Very nice fit indeed. I come up to Austin quite often so maybe i'll see you cruising around in this bad boy.

How do you connect the on-demand pump?
i attach an 12v plug to the wires , ford transit has an 12v socket on the rear pass wall , similar to some suv`s , so that` works great, also i use that to power my nomad 12v pressure washer when i clean wheels.

i can run one tool at the time. with the main pressure washer is so and so, but i have the 12v backup for any heavy stuff.
this unit is for low/mid volume and light stuff , and it does it`s purpose great.
i use power from clients most of the time.
generator is just for extractor and when i have to vacuum or polish in parking lots.

This is awesome! I am glad to finally see a transit set-up for detailing. I am considering buying one myself. Where did you get you shelving brackets? and do they go from floor and bolt to the roof?

inland ,i think is where i got the pre-made shelves and the partition. adrian steel is the brand , but i advise to see what equipment you carry and based of that decide to go with pre-made or custom build.
mine is mostly custom , so i can fit the water tank and all the stuff.
the second unit i got has only two pre-made shelves and a smaller water tank, like 25 gal.
for custom any home depot has the corner profile, screws , and plywood

can you please post detailed pics of your second unit. That would truly help me with some decisions
