got my first ticket...

Gotta sell some random stuff at home to get another 20$ to pay my ticket. Parents aren't mad luckily, they just laughed at me and said I have to pay it myself

Plus my car is too low to go fast anyways :)

Man this brings back memories. I bought my first car at 19....97 black, mustang. Insurance on my own policy was $250 a month. By age 21 I was paying close to $350 a month due to 3 speeding tickets. Thanfully I grew up and learned and 15 years later I now only pay $40 a month.

Just a lesson you needed to learn. It happens. You'll live.

Got my first speeding ticket at 16 or 17. Four of us stuffed into my 2 door Corolla, about to light up a joint when I saw the lights. Don't remember how much the ticket was, but in 1978, it couldn't have been more than 50.00.

Summer of '14 I was in Ohio cruising down a road. I was last in a line of 6 cars. We past a deputy that was going in the other direction and he turns around and lights me up. He gave me a speeding ticket. When I asked about the 5 cars in front of me, he said they weren't going as fast. HUH?!! I was like OK just be a douche about it. Even my sister said she was a bit surprised at his attitude. I wonder if he saw the out of state plates and thought easy target that won't fight it.

got OP beat, my first ticket was 102 in 45, luckily a friend of mine had an uncle that was a setting judge in the county it happened in and I got out of it. never asked to have it waved but got a call about a week later and someone telling me it was "taken Care of" found out a couple days later my friend made a couple calls on my behalf. I was driving a 4 cylinder Chevrolet Cavalier station wagon to boot. have grown up a lot since those days, while I didn't have to pay the ticket I learned a lot from that day :)

My first came driving through one of the worst parts of town going from a friend's apartment downtown back to campus at about 4am. There were three cars in the intersection, mine, the cop, and the car that almost hit me as I ran a red light I didn't see. I pulled over before the cop even had his lights on. It probably saved me from harassment in addition to the ticket because of where I was.
