Haha, we washed the car in the sun. It wasn't bad though :)

Detailing is therapy for me. It's the yin to my yang of being WAY too anal/ocd about where I park still. My ex was into cars and detailing. She actually told me she loved how my car was so much shinier than everyone elses...if only all women had that as a pre-req to date someone, LOL.

Way to include the GF in your hobby Klum-Z!

So why is she your EX did she find a better detailer or something? j/k:D

Since I work with my wife, detailing is my escape. It is the only time that I have to myself. She helped me wash her car once. It was 80 degrees outside and so she followed right behind me with the hose as I washed. I called on her once also to help me remove wax from my car as it had dried on there a little too much. I worked the old dry sections and she worked the newer ones. She loves to play with my old dirty or dropped clay, and asks me about every product I buy, so she could probably do it herself by now.

She never has stopped me from buying and tools or products, as long as it's for the cars she doesn't mind, but I feel kind of guilty for buying so much product over the last 4 months and bought her a new computer so I didnt feel selfish.

BTW, I've never used the 2 bucket method. Does the 2nd bucket just have a grit guard and water or just water...or grit guard + water + soap? The latter seems like it would be a waste of PB SSS to me. And is the 2 bucket method REALLY necessary when you have a foam gun?

lgtspecb - Wow your wife seems pretty interested in detailing. That's good she doesn't seem to say anything negative about you buying detailing products :D. I'm sure she was happy about you buying the computer.

ryandamartini - She is a keeper :D haha we're still young but we'll never know!

MadOzodi - The 2nd bucket is just plain water with grit guards. Personally, I use 2 grit guards in the 2nd bucket since I bought 2, but I didn't feel a need to put one in the soap pbucket. When you have a foam gun, 2nd bucket is still necessary just in case :)
