GoT Season 8 Watchers

I thought for a massive battle scene in the middle of the night in the middle of a blizzard, being lit by nothing more than torches and bonfires, that the lighting was just about right. They were giving you a boots on the ground perspective. I wouldn't expect a lot of dialogue in the middle of a battle either.

EXACTLY! They wanted you to "see" what they were probably seeing.

That's also why the sound was sort of muffled at times. Simulating that adrenaline rush and blocking out the sounds around you as if it was you running around on the battle field. Trying to give you that fight or flight feeling.

I have seen a lot of people complaining about lighting but I did not find it hard to watch any of it. Maybe some people have bad quality TVs? I also like to watch things like this with the lights shut off, to get the cinema experience.

We had a little bit of glare on the TV which is why we turned out all the lights... and yeah, it made for a movie theatre-type experience :xyxthumbs:
