I'm looking for a reasonable good GPS $300 range...Voice direction and street names a must
any suggestions??Feed back please
 
Bill there is a GPS site and forum..I forgot the link...but they talk on all of them and the good and bads on them....there are so many out now ...some new tech some old tech....try to find it..its real good reading....I have a GPS I hook to my laptop and works for me ...lol....but get the new tech one...

I got the tomtom go 500 and garmin nuvi 350 black, ive had the tomtom sent back to the dealer twice cos it broke down, and when i was to buy the new one they said the Garmin was the best buy among many brands they had, im not sure about if you got any of those in the US, but i would go for the Garmin if you have it there, Sorry i dont have clue what i costs in the US....
 
yes..the Garmin Nuvi is the big talk now..its the latest and greatest they say..very reliable and feature loaded.....some people in work got them and love them....

I've got the Garmin. It was a little over but in the $300 range. Great voice directions but street names are on screen only. Love it. Good in a rental car too. I got it online by using one of the best price shopping sites like "Nextag". Just got it from lowest priced store.
 
The Garmin c340 or the nuvi260 are both good. If you're looking for the best bang for the buck go with c340. I have a friend who works in logistics and deals with these things all of the time. I've used the nuvi660, it's very cool but it's in the $800 range. At any rate the Garmins are on top in all categories.
 
I have a garmin street pilot, i use it every day and have been for over a year with no probles. I got it off Ebay for $240 plus shipping.

Nice unit....you will be happy...a little over your 300.00 price tag..but you got the best unit...let us know how you like it.....Remember to take it in when not in use...they are the #1 item stolen from cars now....out of site out of mind....

I have a Garmin Nuvi 350 since May and like it very much.
I picked it up at Fry's Electronic's in Indy on sale for $350, a very good price.
It comes with a 110 volt charger and a car charger.
The charger is the same as a newer Motorolla cell phone so it cuts down on chargers if you travel.

I wanted to get one for my son for Christmas but can't seem to find it for $350

Thanks al.........i did my home work on these things and since i could get the nuvi 350 for abourt $359 i figured for the difference in price why not step up to the 660 $531, a $175 diff and free shipping

I'm waiting on the GPS attachment for my Sony PSP - if that works well that would be pimp. Then I can play games, listen to music, watch movies and have a GPS all in one!

It has all kinds of cool features and I just love that it's a flat panel. Let us know how you like it.
