Gravel driveway how bad is it

IMO:
It's not just about your vehicle being
affected by a gravel driveway. How
about your house/garage getting very
dusty and dirty---especially during the
hot and dry summer months.

The thing that irks me the most about it is the lime splashing up on the wheels, tires, and bottom of the car after a deluge.

What kind of car are you driving on the gravel driveway?

Really, I don't see it in the thread, what kind of car it is.

We had a 1/4 mile driveway at our old house and dust was the biggest problem

Honda Accord and Mustang gt convertible. The Honda should be fine, but I'm very skeptical about driving my pony on that gravel...

It costs around $3 / square foot to asphalt. Concrete is around $5. Prices do vary. This is in NC.

Thanks for all the responses! At this point, I'm probably gonna contact local contractors to see how much exactly would it cost to pave the driveway. My alternative option would be to add larger size stones to make sure they don't get stuck in tires.
