Any recommendations on best method to remove film from inside windows without leaving streaks, etc.? I have tried so many products and methods but have yet found the best cleaning product and method. There has to be a better way!!!

Steamer works awesome with the window brush. I also use stoners but sometime have to go over it twice. You just really need to make sure your using a clean micro or go with a glass towel.

Shark steamer with squeegee attachment works really well. Wipe any excess water off with clean microfiber

Thanks for the info. KB Cloth is now Kaywos Cloth. I ordered 5 for $20. No shipping charge!

Honestly! I am right with ya! the best way I have found is use an all glass cleaner and use 2 different MF window towls,, then here is my secret. Use a AIO and polish the insde also! I ahve been doing this since the 80s on my own cars b4 I even thought about "learning the Art" it will take care of everything.

Did you have problems with the windshield wanting to 'fog' more than normal (usual)?

I tried that once, and the defroster could barely keep up with the moisture.

It could have very well been where I lived - Seattle (tis a tad humid there at times).

I actually found it to help alot. I lived on Whidby Island in Oak Harbor and never had a problem. Let me ask you this, when your on defrost, were you using the inside air or the outside? this makes a huge differance. when we bought our honda we had the defrost on and the lever was on recirculate (for max ac) and the window fogged up like crazy, but after we saw the dial in the light it showed to only use defrost on outside air setting. Ill bet this is what happened.

I'm sorry for the hijack but I'm very curious if there are any differences between the KD Cloth, KB Cloth, Kaywos Cloth or Fast Glass Towels?

Always on 'recirc'. But, when I discovered Stoner's (that's a noun, not a verb-lol), all my problems ended. I really think a lot of the problems were mainly from the car being garaged and then hitting the much cooler and damp atmosphere. Now that I am living in much more extreme weather area, I really have no problem with interior fogging. Go figure.

NAS Whidby?

Kd=Fast Glass. There are lots of copy cats too. In fact in Canada, I can buy a pack of 15 of them for $12 at HD, but they're thinner. The thicker ones like KD and FG will stand up to more washing IMO. I've been using the same ones for months and months now.

When I ordered the kaywos the site said formally KB Cloth and the packaging looked like the packaging from richy's article he posted on this thread.

I do not know about the fast cloth. Watching for the mail person today to see if my cloths arrive!

I read somewhere (Stoner's web site?) that the sun hitting the dash releases chemicals from the dash that can cause window fogging. I use Stoner's too. The sun is very harsh in Hawaii.

I had a sunshade that I had in my '04 Acura that I now use in my new Toyota that is causing the window to fog in certain areas close to the base of the window. I just switched to a new sunshade today (the old shade is nine years old) so I'll know for sure if I'm right this coming week. The Toyota's window didn't fog in the beginning when I didn't use the sunshade and parked in the sun.

Thanks a bunch for the clarity. :dblthumb2:

Received the kaywos cloths. Amazing! I cleaned half the windshield to compare in the sun and I could not believe the difference. One problem noted was that my bride had me clean every mirror and glass in our home as well as the vehicles!!

I am by no mean an expert, especially when you guys are talking about all these cleaners I've never even heard of (san the Stoners)!! But has anyone tried using 91% Isopropyl Alcohol in a spray bottle with good quality cotton towels? I've used this for years and always get a crystal clear windscreen.

Fogging occurs because of the temperature and moisture difference between the inside and the outside of the car. It's cold and dry outside and it's warmer and moister inside.

The fastest way to defog the windows is to rapidly drop the tempature inside the car. This is not very comfortable in winter. So instead useb the outside dry air to push out the existing humid air inside the car. The engine produces enough heat to warm up that freezing outside air.

I remember when I first bought my car no matter what I did I couldn't get rid off the condensation on my rear window. Switched from recirculated to outside air and it disappeared immediately
