If you live in the greater Houston area, would you be interested in a possible Saturday morning "Coffee, Cars, and Cleaners" get together? One of our members in the area has offered to provide a quick session on some of his tips and tricks detailing. It would get great to meet eachother, see your cars, and learn from one another. If so, please let me know and we can begin to put together a list of interested members and arrange such a meeting.

Wont be able to make a C&C due to distance but im interested in doing a meet and greet sometime.
 
The meet wouldnt have to be at C&C it was just something I threw out there. To be honest I would probably be too sidetracked at the $10 million + worth of cars there to speak to anyone lol.

Sunday afternoons would be best on my end anyway. I usually have something scheduled for Saturdays and Sunday mornings.

This is a pretty good start! Are any of you aware of other members in the area that may have missed this post? If so get in touch with them and let them know. Is there a particular time that works well with everyone? I threw out Saturday morning and saw one of you mentioned Sunday afternoon. Also, we will want to find a central area where we could meet and have a place to do some quick work/instruction. Ideas? We could even do it at someone's house if needed.

I only say that because your place might work better without having to worry about lugging supplies everywhere. I can bring what I have on hand as well.

"Perfection" (What is your name BTW?) offered his services to teach and will bring all of his gear to show teachniques. He lives in Buna which is over by Beaumont, so it will be more convienent to have him drive over for a morning and let his family go to the mall or something while we do our thing.

Names John, I run Perfections detail. I'm mobile so my stuffs already loaded and could come to you guys to help you with anything from a basic wash into basic techniques for polishing. No crazy stuff in a day since I'd rather teach a group and gets hands on versus explaining how to do a 3 step with rotary and no one gets to do anything. Just let me know so I can plan it since it will be a little drive and I usually stay booked 2-3 months out but can rearrange stuff if we can come up with a day.

Does this Saturday morning work for most of you? If so, I suggest we meet at my place. There is a parking garage very close to the house where we can all park and use my garage as a demo area. I'm centrally located to Houston in general at 2106 Mid Lane. It is just inside Loop 610 between Westheimer and San Felipe. Let us know so Perfection can confirm his schedule. Say 8am for coffee and 9am for the demo.

Damn, that is right around the corner from where I work,(610 and Post Oak, at the twin towers). I might be able to make it if my other friends do not want to hit the range first.

Jack I plan on coming. I wanted to bring my 69 Roadrunner and would appreciate some opinions on the paint and clear coat. Will I be able to park at the garage and be able to leave it or do you think its best to leave eit at home? Thanks for the use of your place and hope to see you Saturday.

Please let me know if you plan on coming. I have a call into John to make sure he can make it and provide his expertise and experience as a demo. You are more than welcome to invite others who might be interested in learning a little more about the tricks and tips of detailing your car.

Im a no go for this event this time. Got some scheduled clients and wont be able to make it :(
 
Guys, we're definitely on for Saturday AM. John will be bringing his gear for the demo and instruction. I sent everyone a private email hoping you will get the info. Please let me know if you are coming. RCRAMIE, maybe you can catch a ride with John so you don't have to drive all the way over. If you have other friends interested, they are welcome to join us.
