Hello All,

Been lurking here for a month or so and have decided to finally post and take the plunge. I was going to order the FLEX 3401 but can't figure out which package I should buy (Wolfgang, XMT, etc.). I have a 2004 grey BMW 330CI with light swirls, a grey 2000 GMC Sierra with light swirls and a 2005 black Ford Expedition (work vehicle). The Ford has a ton of imperfections, heavy swirls, scratches and water marks; a total mess. I tried to include pictures but it didn't work out. I've never had any luck with any of my black vehicles.

Anyway, looking forward to your comments and help. Take care.

Hey Scott, :welcome: To Autogeek Oline!!

The Flex 3401 is legendary in its design, performance, and durability. When I stepped up from my Porter Cable 7424 to the Flex 3401 I was absolutely amazed at how powerful it was but also how balanced and well engineered.

If I were to recommend a kit that would handle just about anything thrown at it this would be the Flex kit below.

Menzerna polishes for ceramic clear coat paint, Flex buffer, Nano polish, super intensive, Lake Country pads, Show car kit

Thanks BobbyG. I think I'll take your advise. BTW, nice Vette!

Hey Scott! Welcome to the forum! My and my lady jumped in the car and drove to Bmore, from Bowie, to get a few slices of pizza from Jay's across from University of Baltimore. Ate in the parking lot and went home. Sad...I know...but we love food like that.

I'm not familiar with any of those kits, so I don't have a suggestion. I Have a Porter Cable 7424XP and my next move is to get the Meg's MF DA correction system for vehicles with slightly more than light swirls. There are alot of more advanced detailers on the forum that I'm sure will chime in here. But again...welcome to the addiction!!!

:hungry:Usually people come to Baltimore from the crab cakes. ;-) I can make some recommendations if you want. Anywho, thanks for the info. Just spent over $500 on the FLEX unit and other goodies. :wow:WOW, that didn't take long. I guess the first step to this addiction is admitting you have a problem.....Thanks Alex.

LOL!!! I know right?! Crab cakes or crabs! But no...we were craving some good NY Style pizza. There aren't anymore down here, that I know of. I knew of Jay's from when I went to school at University of Baltimore. I would go there the days I had class to get dinner.

Oh...we have DA meetings every thursday at 9....Detailers Annonymous that is ;-)

Damn! Can't make the meeting. My FLEX 3401 Buffer will be arriving on Thursday...:buffing:

Welcome. You have a good start and you can play with the polish/pad combinations to get what you want. That's how it starts....

PS Whats with the Bearcat?

Clean the range brass out of the back. Someone will thank you for it later....

I leave the back doors open and get her up to 75. It all blows out the back.......
