A newbie who has just started into detailing and caring. Both the site and the forum look very promising for tons of info on detailing so it would be my first source of knowledge and advice. Look forward to visiting them often (and I am already doing this even before registering for the forum).

First post!
Located in milwaukee, I'm a high school math teacher by trade. I came here to keep my 2013 sunburst orange civic SI looking brand new. I have always loved detailing my cars. I grew up watching my Dad wrench and wash his 1960 red corvette in the driveway. Spent a lot of my youth washing and waxing my parent's cars in exchange for driving privileges, gas money, etc.
..not the Corvette, tho..that was his
Previously I've been using Meguiars wash and NXT wax, but I'm excited to try out some of the new variety of products here on the site. I enjoy searching thru the forums and I'm willing put in the time/effort to do a job correctly, and over again if necessary...or because I broke/scratched/set on something on fire.....
This forum really seems genuinely nice and helpful- Originally I just came for info and products, but now I'm eager to be part of the community!

Thanks, all detailing requires some investments. I did invest this summer into Griot's DA 6" polisher with Lake Country pads + some polishers and sealant, clay bars, etc... Now our Honda is so smooth to the touch and so shiny with refreshed paint...

I am just learning to care about our family car, no business is in my mind so far and since I am doing now BSc in Environmental Sciences, I do not think I will do auto detailing professionally. If you are in Montreal (I am in Lachine to be more geo-specific) we could connect for a couple of beers, etc...
