Greetings!
I would like to introduce myself and our company to the Autogeek group of professional detailers and car enthusiasts. My name is Ron West and I am the President of TUF SHINE®.

We are grateful to Autogeek for offering our products to you and to be a part of this industry. We feel that we have invented a unique, innovative tire shine that is second to none. After years of frustrations dealing with the constant hassles of using “lubricant” type products I felt that there needed for a better way to approach this task. In 2004 I began to play with ideas on other ways to accomplish this task, as well as others to help simplify auto detailing, and came up with a concept that has taken many years of tweaking and testing to come up with the perfect tire shine. I always felt that unless you do something with the tires, no matter how much polishing and detailing you do, the finishing touch is to dress the tires. I coined the phrase, “it’s like wearing a tuxedo with work boots” if you don’t dress the tires they look like boots.

Why do you think they recommend patent leather shoes with a tuxedo. Same goes for your car. That deep black appearance really completes the overall look of your detail job. The task then is to keep them looking that way for a longer period of time. TUF SHINE will do just that. Because TUF SHINE Tire Clearcoat is a sealant and protectant, it makes it a unique product that offers plenty of benefits. Lab tests have proven that the clearcoat provides unmatched protection against UVA, UVB, Ozone, and heat damage. It seals the lubricants in the sidewall to provide even further protection and keep the rubber pliable. T

he technician performing the tests commented that; “In all the years of doing testing on tires, I have never seen anything perform or protect like TUF SHINE.” Another great feature is the ability to build the shine to your liking by applying additional coats.

Our TUF SHINE Tire Cleaner is absolutely the best on the market at cleaning and prepping the tire to accept the clearcoat. Many buy the cleaner for other uses too. As you have probably read from forum comments, stripping the tire of all silicone and residue is the key to success. We wish this step wasn’t necessary, but because our product is water based, it will not stick to silicone. It took us over 5 years to come up with a cleaner that will do the job and get rid of the “brown”. The great thing is you only have to do this cleaning/prep once.

After the clearcoat is applied, do not use it again. It is not necessary. If you do, it will dull the finish and may remove some of the clearcoat. Clear water and a soft brush, or a little mild soap and water will clean the tire sufficiently to restore the look. The shine is still there, but to bring back the luster I will apply another coat on top of the previous coat. This only takes about 10 seconds per tire. On my personal vehicle I have never had to strip off the product, but only apply a light coat every 3 or 4 months to restore the look I want.

Our goal is to provide products that not only perform well and give you the look you want, but to save time and money in the long run. Yes, it takes a little effort in the beginning, but the savings pay off in the long run.

Our Tire Kit has everything you need to do the job right. Not all cleaners and brushes will do the cleaning job correctly, that is why we have everything designed to our specifications to ensure success for first time users. If there have been any problems, 99% of the time it has been from improper cleaning/prep by the customer. Many detailers upsell TUF SHINE to cover the labor to clean the tires and their customers love the longevity and looks of their tires. It can be an additional revenue stream.

We hope you will try our other fine products like Black Restore®, Spray and Shine and our Scrub-All® sponges that are great for cleaning seats, door panels, dash boards, wheels and any textured surface. They all are tested and proven to perform to the high standards we have set for our products.

We are available to answer questions online and want to make TUF SHINE a great experience for all that use our products.

Best regards,

Ron West President

Ron, welcome to AGO!

The Tuf Shine products that I have purchased are great quality and give amazing results.

I purchased your tire coating and cleaner about 2 months ago. I absolutely love both.

Couldn't be happier.

FYI- I"m going to reorder the tire cleaner. It is without a doubt the best tire cleaner I have ever used.

Hi Ron and welcome to AutogeekOnline! :welcome:

Thanks for sharing.

No affiliation, just a satisfied Tuf Shine user. I bought it before AG started carrying it.

My summary: it takes a little more upfront work but it's worth it.
Just like the upfront work on paint---there are shortcut products but
doing it the right way/ more work way is worth it.

Once it is applied, tires practically clean themselves.

I have ordered Tuf Shine black restore kit from AG. Can't wait to try it.

I am looking for a new tire coating system for my customers. I have two question for you:
1. How long will this tire coating last when properly applied to the tire?
2. Will it splash all over the paint when it gets wet?

I am looking for tire coatings for my company and right now I have a few, still testing on my own car to see the results and get some ideas. Thanks in advance.

I have a tire kit in the box. Can't wait to use it!
I've read multiple reviews and they are all positive.
I've also heard that your customer service is awesome!

I just happened to receive an AG order and one of the items is the Tuf Shine kit. I'm looking forward to using it...maybe I'll take some pictures to document how it goes.

I absolutely love your tire cleaner. Only reason I don't use your tire shine is because I enjoy applying tire shine everytime I wash my car. Yeah, I'm odd like that. Welcome to the forum.

I love Tuff Shine tire products. I had a hard time initially, and I talked to a guy on the phone from TS (Bob?) who helped me and mailed me some additional product no charge. No that I have it set up, I never need to clean my tires with anything but soap - and there is no brown nastiness. Nothing lasts like this stuff.

I topped it off yesterday, I do it once a month, although you could go much more time;

Ron, this is great to hear. I love your products, but where I live currently, I'm doing a ton of trucks with knobby tires. I wish you had this product with an ultra fine mist application.

I have Tuf Shine in my wish list , it's also one of my next purchase later this month. Welcome to AG.

There is no problem putting the clearcoat in a small mister or sprayer. Spray the outer perimeter of the tire first,
then apply to the rest of the tire with the sponge applicator to finish the job. Just make sure you rinse the sprayer out with clear water when done so it doesn't get clogged up. I have done this and it works just fine. Avoid getting te spray on the wheel or paint. If you do, clean off any overspray with rubbing alcohol.
